Pros: this camera has a good picture and works well and a monitor.Cons:Go to the iSmartViewPro app in the Google play store, much of it is in Chinese.I wanted a motion detection camera that would send an email notification AND a picture of what the motion that triggered it was. After spending a lot of time on this plug and play camera, I could not get it to work and send an email picture. The seller did give me instructions as follows:"Hi David,please start searchpro tool on your computer, it will be more convenient to find out whether the email setting successfully.there is a test button now, after enter required information, click save, then test, when prompt "test succeed" means setting is OKif possible please help us with the screenshot on your email setting page, we will study your settings. and solve the issue you have met quicklyFor gmail alert, please remember to enter "gmail app password" instead of your normal email code. gmail somehow different. you can google gmail app password or 2 step verification for more details.Sincerely YoursAndy"Thank you for the help Andy but I returned it. I wanted a simple plug and play security camera that sent me pictures. There are apps to make my old phone do this, why not a camera. Required information was confusing and what is a "searchpro tool" you want me to run on my computer?

I wasn't sure I would like this camera, thought it just had a few options, but it is pretty great. I wanted to use it for alerts but apparently the security on it does not meet google's security standards (this is why I switched it from 5 stars to 3).1 - My advice: download the app first, before setting up the camera (plugging in power supply)2 - Go ahead and plug in the ethernet cord - it's an okay length but you will need longer if going further from your modem.2 - Once the app is downloaded plug in the power to the camera.3 - Set up the wifi password (your password for your wifi).4 - Do a location search (it was simplest way and worked the first time).Once the camera did its little boot up thing it connected and showed being online. I clicked the little arrow next to the camera and set up alerts and stuff (including email - might not meet Google's modern security standards - and reset the password).The alerts work great and I am very impressed by what this little camera can do. It reminds me of an owl, it turns completely around and up and down to - all from my phone (Android).

I purchased this camera to keep an eye on my pets. It took me no more than 5 minutes to have this cam up and running. I can view live streaming, I can record and take still pictures. I can rotate left to right, pan up and down. I can listen and talk though it. This thing also have night view. I can view though my smart phone or computer. Camera does come with a Quick installation guide. I've only had it up and running for a week now and haven't any glitches yet. So far every thing is running smooth.

This camera was very easy to install. The nightvision is great. I had some issues with the email alert, but got my concern addressed immediately (posted question and got reply same day ... posted another reply and got a reply within a few minutes! I am definitely impressed with the service!). I tested the motion detector and email alert, received an email alert right away. If I need another security camera, I will definitely buy KUCAM again!

Doesn't really come with instructions but it's easy enough to figure out. Just download the recommended app and you're in.Picture quality is great and it does everything you could want a security camera to do. I just can't figure out how to get it to email me when there is an alarm. I'm a pretty tech savvy guy so they could have made that easier or offered done sort of guidance.Super cheap. For the price, it's waaaaaaaay more than I could have hoped for.

Painless installation! From box to monitoring in less than 5 minutes. However if you are not tech oriented it may take you a while to decipher the manual. Picture quality is more than adequate. Night vision is remarkable. Very easy controls from your smart phone or PC app. The PC app is clunky/underdeveloped but usable.

The camera works well and the set up is quite easy--all but for one thing. I am unable to get the wifi configured. I have tried configuring it via the one key configure setting in the app as soon as the devices were plugged in and flashing. I have also tried configuring it via connecting each camera to the wifi through ethernet, then selecting advanced settings, wifi, entering the password, and receiving the message that the wifi setting was a success. However, when I unplug the device from the ethernet cable and attempt to connect, both devices simply WILL NOT connect. The sole purpose in me purchasing these items was for the wireless camera capabilities. I am quite disappointed.

As previous commenters said, forget the wifi. Despite multiple emails back and forth with the company, I now have a long ethernet cable running from the modem to a less-than-optimal camera placement. It certainly isn't "one key wifi." Aside from that, the camera hardwired works as advertised and set up was relatively easy. Unless they fix their wifi problems, I won't buy again.
