A parts list and diagram is included, NOT written instructions. Had the manufacturer made the bottom section diameter even 1/2" larger, it would be do-able. The included 'wrench' doesn't really fit, so need socket /wrench set and needlenose pliers to help. Awkward to put together to say the least. First of three legs, not a problem, second leg, tougher but do-able. Third leg, be prepared for frustration. The bolt goes into leg either way, but can only be used one way in order to accept the nut. Nothing said, just a drawing, and not too clear at that. Unit is lovely and sturdy, just the standing reading desk I wanted to keep me from sitting too much. Putting it together in order to use it? Well, see above.
