Best little sewing/repair kit I've found!
I wanted a small repair kit for our 72-hour bags, and thought this one seemed more substantial than any others I'd seen. I got it with free shipping with Amazon SuperSaver shipping (for orders over $25).I am really impressed with this little kit. It's not just a "sewing" kit, as it contains several items that go beyond stitching up a tear in clothing or replacing a button. It has a darning needle for repairing socks, heavy duty nylon thread, a needle threader (great for my older eyes!), a magnifier (also great for my older eyes!), bonded Kevlar thread, some brass wire, paracord (for boot laces and more), a waterproof patch, a couple of cable ties, a small knife, and some duct tape. It all comes in a waterproof zippered bag, which fits nicely in a side pouch on my 72-hour bag. This is a great little kit for the money. I could probably assemble the contents myself for less money, but having it all packed nicely in a convenient little waterproof bag was worth the cost. I've got a full roll of duct tape in my main bag, but having a small roll of it in this kit will keep me from having to dig for the big one for a small repair. In an emergency, being able to cable tie a shoe together, patch a tent, or do a strong, long term fix of a tear in a jacket or jeans will mean the difference between being comfortable and being miserable.I plan to add small tubes of superglue and rubber cement to this bag, for shoe and tent repair.

For the price it is a nice kit
This is a good kit for the money, it comes with Kevlar thread as mentioned by other reviewers and an assortment of goodies in a bag that is rated for 60 meters in a diving situation, that is pretty impressive huh? I wouldSay you can add to this kit with a small hotel style sewing kit because it comes with canvas and leather stitching needles, but not small regular sewing needles. I got a matchbook sized kit from a motel I stayed in and put it in to give me a few extra colors of thread and some smaller needles. I also threw in some dental floss which is great for field repairs. This is a nice kit, but make sure to review its contents to make sure you aren't overlapping too much if you are on a budget trying not to repurchase similar items already in your other kits.

Great little kit
Seems like it has everything I was looking for. Nice waterproof/resistant bag with a decent ziplock. A nice tube holds all the needles in place with no risk of damage to the bag or hands when handling. I like that this kit comes with thick cord and wire for more serious repairs.... I imagine I cold use this to repair a backpack or jacket if need be, which is the real reason I wanted a sewing kit. I'm happy with my purchase. Plenty of room inside the bag to add more materials if you wanted...I'd recommend some superglue or cement of some kind.

Great kit!
As some others have noted, combine this with the other above mentioned kit, and go to Walmart and grab some more tent patches in their sewing section as well as a standard sewing kit which will include common thread colors and needles, and then grab one of those 1 dollar plastic pouches -also at walmart - which are in the section they have the small travel sizes of toothpaste, mouthwash, shampoo etc where everything are like .99 cents and you have the makings a complete emergency sewing kit for tents and regular fabrics. This is what I did and it all went into my hiking bag and I feel very confident I will be able to quickly repair any sorts of rips or tears in pretty much anything I have on/with me next time I go hiking/camping.This product alone, while ok, is not really enough though as you will see when you check it out. Do what I suggested above and you will not worry again about any issues when outdoors. The product arrived as advertised and in a timely manner and I plan on ordering a second and possibly 3rd set of kits from this seller, as well as the other items I described above so I also will have one in my dedicated go bag and home prepping kit.

A must have for scouting
I bought two, one for my day pack and one for my large rucksack. It’s saved my butt a few times now. The ziplock bag is very durable. It been in river water several times now. Still looks brand new.

Nice small repair kit
I haven't had to use this yet, but it's small and packs well. Everything the kit is said to include on the product page are indeed included in the kit. I'm glad to have it with me when backpacking, and it will be great to have for travel and just on hand around the house. To add to the kit, maybe add some seam seal, super glue, and a spare shoelace.

Good survival sewing kit.
I purchased the McNett Gear Aid Tent Repair Kit at a local store at around the same time I purchased this kit. If I were to have only one of these kits on a short camping trip, I would prefer to have the Gear Aid kit because it has the added benefit of being able to repair a tents poles and zippers, while still being able to sew/fix the same types of things. From a minimalist backpacking perspective, I'd rather have this kit because it is more survival oriented. Here are the main things that sets these two kits apartBoth kits have duct tape, a patch to sew, and all the basic items to be able to sew.The Gear Aid kit contains, but is not limited to an odor eliminating packet, seam cutter, elastic cord, seam glue, tent zipper and pole repair. The Survival Sewing and repair kit contains, but is not limited to a razor blade, utility cord, plastic ties, kevlar thread, brass wire and 4 nails. While there is some redundancy, these kits make perfect compliments to each other. The waterproof 5 x 4 Aloksak Bag of this kit nests perfectly inside the Gear Aid kit. Together they make great additions to a more complete survival kit.

BIen!
Compre este Kit por necesidad y Flojera, los artículos que vienen son de la misma calidad que se pueden encontrar en tiendas comerciales a un precio mas justo, el precio en lo que lo adquirí fue elevado apesar de estar en México.
