Q: What exactly is the size for 8-9 year olds?

I ordered a 6-7 that was for my 7 year old granddaughter who is small for her age it was a little big for her. So an 8-9 should fit a girl that is the age who would be normal size. The dress is wonderful my granddaughter loves it and wears it all the time as a normal dress because she loves it so much. I hope that helps.
