I love these ear plugs. They come nicely packaged, and the individual wrappers are so convenient and travel-friendly.I live in NYC and getting a good night's sleep can be a challenge sometimes with the noisy party animal neighbors and the 2 hospitals nearby with emergency vehicles passing by regularly. I've gotten used to is somewhat, but I still get occasionally woken up by the noises.Not with these plugs! The first night I wore them, I slept like a baby.A really nice bonus feature (which I think is the reason these work so well) is that they are slow-expanding. Which means you no longer have to wrestle them into your ear and hope they fit in nicely. You can squeeze them and leisurely place them inside your ear cavity, then you still have a few seconds until they expand back to their original size. This means a nicer fit and better sound blocking. I'll take it.Thanks for the excellent product. I won't be traveling without these again, and I've recommended them to friends and family as well.

My experience when storing them at room temperature seems to contradict many of the other reviewers but I'm posting this in case it helps anyone else who initially finds the plugs to be too soft to form them properly when preparing to insert them.Using them as I've used many other brands in the past, I attempted to roll/pinch these between my fingers in order to create a narrow cylinder for easy slide-in insertion. I found it impossible to accomplish; they were just too soft. I ended up having to moosh them into my ear and they became uncomfortable within three or four hours as they really were not positioned correctly. It seemed to me that the material is just softer than what I was used to.Then inspiration struck!!I I put them in the refrigerator where they've been sitting for several weeks. Success!!! I had no problem forming them and I wore them for about 7 hours, only removing them because the noise source (high winds) had abated. I could have kept them in for much longer.Anyway, that's my story and I hope others will find it of use. I consider this to be a excellent product and gave it 5 stars for every rating. I won't repeat the details provided by others to that effect.

These are very nice when your trying to block out sounds and sleep peacefully! The only reason for the four stars is because they do take some getting use to... At first they weren’t conforming to my ear but after twisting the ends and putting them into my ear and getting use to the feel, they worked great!

These ear plugs arrived arrived in good time and top condition.They are a lifesaver. My fiancée and I live beside a very noisy alley and I am a light sleeper. (She also snores a lot) I tried wireless headphones and other ear plugs but they did not work.But these are a revelation. When I pinch them down and put them in my ears and they fill up, everything goes completely silent. That's exactly what I was looking for -- a lot of the other ear plugs blathered on about allowing 30 dB for safety or something but I am trying to sleep! I want zero! Ha.If I have any feedback it would be to consider including instructions on how to use them in a healthy way. When I first received them, I just put them in without any prep on my ears and it caused a lot of pimples inside. Ouch.But I've learned to apply a nightly routine before I put them in and it really helps. Lots of rubbing alcohol before insertion.Anyway they are great! Five stars for sure.

These are worthless and a big waste of money and there is no return policy. I tried them to block my husband's snoring after reading the reviews. Totally worthless. I should just throw $20.00 into the trash. AND NO RETURN! TERRIBLE! I went back to my Hearos Pillow Soft. Buy those not these! I wish I could give no stars.Amazon sells the Hearos Pillow Soft. They are much more comfortable and can easily be cut smaller if you have small ears.I have amended this. The earplugs are still terrible but Amazon is great! They did refund me. I LOVE AMAZON. I think that one's response to any given ear plug is very personal. For example, I periodically use ear plugs to sleep, and I've tried top-rated ones that I couldn't use because they blocked out too much sound (I was actually kept awake by the only sound I could hear: my own heart beat!). So while I can only speak to my own experience after just a few uses, I think these are excellent. They are soft and easy to insert. Then they expand slowly, staying really comfortable and reaching full sound-blocking gradually (say, a minute or two). I really like this transition. At the end, the noise suppression is just right for me. I am still vaguely aware of my surroundings, and can hear enough of my alarm to wake me up. But any noises that were keeping me awake seem very far away. In other words, I am totally satisfied!

I was looking for a substitute for my previous brand which I can no longer find. I had hoped these would fit the bill as no other brand had come close. They are easy to insert and do block out sound very well. Unfortunately I wake up in the middle of the night with ear canal pain. I suspect the foam may be too firm. I might try trimming down a pair to see if that helps but think it may alter the sound reducing quality. The brand I used previously had the same noise reduction rating but were made of softer foam and did not hurt my ears.

I was looking for high quality ear plugs to block as much noise as possible to get a great night sleep, Once you look at the video and read the instructions how to insert these correctly, you will be amazed. It took me a few tries to get it perfect, but they work very well. I use these for camping and travel in general. It blocks most ambient sound and at least 90% of snoring noise. They are comfortable and the packaging makes it very easy to take these along in any pocket or bag.
