Excellent Conclusion to the Series
The Darknot is the conclusion to The Nethergrim series that you need. The series as a whole is grand in its scope but grounded in the characters. The Darknot completes their journey and sets the stage for what is yet to come in their lives. The pacing of this book is different from the the others in the series, but there’s a reason. I won’t go into specifics so as not to spoil anything.I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes classic sword and sorcery like the tales of hobbits or Narnia. It is a good read with a world where magic has its own, finite rules. Very entertaining.

Terrific series
The Nethergrim series gets better with each book. A great story of youthful friendship and desire to do what is right at all cost. I highly recommend this wonderful story for anyone to read.

A worthy finale!
(this is Wednesdaygirl's son giving a review of "The Darknot") The plot was well thought out. The pace was moderate, with decent separate sections of nature description and action. The ending was well written, bringing a definitive end while at the same time ending on a highly dramatic note. The one flaw of the book was time jumps. Sometimes when a chapter ends on a suspenseful note, and then a new one starts there will be a small jump in the sequence of events. Often you will be left feeling like a chapter was left out. If you go into the book knowing in advance that Jobin uses this style of writing, then you'll understand it all just fine. If you don't, you might get confused. On the whole though, it's a good book. It lives up to its role as the climax well, and does an excellent job at expanding the world of "The Nethergrim" series. I highly recommend both this book and the whole series to fans of Toby Forward's "Flaxfield Quartet," Cornelia Funke's "DragonRider" and Tolkien's "Middle-Earth Saga."

A Fantastic Series!
This is the third book in The Nethergrim series. If you've read the other books, you'll definitely want to read this one. Like the first two books in the series, it's full of magic, adventure, and danger. This series has some elements that remind me of some Christian fantasy series like The Chronicles of Narnia and The Hobbit, but it's not overly obvious or preachy. If you like high fantasy books and series that feature teens working together to overcome an ancient evil, you'll love this series. This series is one of the most enjoyable YA fantasy series that I've read in a long time. It has a throwback feel to it, yet it is modern and fun to read. This series is perfect for the younger YA crowd, ages 10-14, but older kids will enjoy it too.Source: The author sent me an advanced reader's copy of this book.Content: Some suspense and perilous situations. Movie rating would be PG-13

I loved this book.
Edmund, Katherine and Tom are back together in the exciting conclusion of this fasinating tale of three friends battling the evil wizards that are tormenting their lands. Edmund's powers have reached a new peak and once again The Nethergrim has a hold on him. Touching all emotions, I was surprised, frightened, happy and sad. I cried at the end. Hats-off to the author! I loved the book.
