perfect for working with micro mesh pads
I do wish the magnets came pre-installed but they are glued in easy enogh with a little CA glue. the front area holds plenty of water to wet down each pad before you use them and the gaps between each when you put them back in the holder ensures they dry quickly.

Pen Turners need this for the sanding/polishing pads. It's a small hard plastic container and comes with 2 rare earth magnets to attach the container to your lathe. These magnets are quite strong and you can mount it from the rear or bottom using the magnets after you epoxy the magnets to the plastic. I was using a plastic bowl with water to dip the sanding pads and this stepped it up a notch and looks professional. Bought this on special through WoodCraft.

This thing is awesome. Magnets hold this little tray perfectly so I can place it right where I need it when I am turning pens on my lathe. Very sturdy. Highly recommend.
