Perfectly fills a need that Microsoft has left unfilled
I have never written a review in Amazon, but felt a real need to do this one. My Surface 3 Pen tip fell out of my hands and into an unrecoverable place when I pulled it out to re-seat it to see if that would help with some writing issues I was having. I had just gotten off the phone with Microsoft Technical support where I was basically told to go buy another $50 pen (I was told my computer was "out of warranty". I'm not sure what a warranty has to do with this issue. I have no idea why Microsoft does not sell replacement tips. I have been using tablet PC's since the mid-2000's and the pens have always come with several replacements as part of the purchase. I had already searched Microsoft and the web for replacement tips and had pretty much given up. Then I found these and figured I'd give them a try. These tips absolutely work like the original. I fully recommend them. Thank you!

It works!
The tip of my Surface Pro 3 pen mysteriously fell out last week, and I lost it. When I googled how to get another one, it seemed pretty difficult to get a new one through Microsoft Support and they don't sell them. I had a friend go by the Microsoft store, and they recommended getting a new pen. On Amazon, this was the only option I could find, so I thought I would give it a try, although I was a little suspicious of the packaging and it only having one review. The product was here within two days. The tip slid in easily and the pen now works fine! What more could I ask for!?

The tip fell into my stylus, and destroyed it.
The nib didn't fit my Surface Pro 3 stylus perfectly, but it went in and for a few hours it seemed to work fine. But then I tried to use it today, and discovered it had fallen about 1/8" INSIDE the stylus, rendering it completely unusable. Now I have to try and return this product with 1 of the 3 tips missing, and see if Microsoft will miraculously replace my pen, or be out more than $30 for a new stylus.Don't buy unless you want to risk spending $16 to ruin your stylus. I hate to leave a bad review, but this just has me really upset. I've never had an issue with this tablet before and after a year with the same tip, I was excited to have a smoother drawing surface.

The original broke very easily. I went to the Microsoft store and they ...
Bought as replacement for the original tip to the Microsoft Surface Pen. The original broke very easily. I went to the Microsoft store and they could not repair - the tip was stuck in the pen. At home I was able to remove and use one of this. So far no problems.

Cheap Plastic, First Tip Broke Day 1
I ordered these because my original surface tip broke after a year and a half of use, and the only way you could get a new one from Microsoft is to buy the pen itself. So I thought, why not.So to be honest, these are kinda trash. My first day with a new one in, it broke, leaving half of the tip still inside the pen. The second one has lasted me 3 weeks now so maybe it's just hit or miss.Very cheap plastic overall. The tip is thinner than the original tip and not really the same shape. (Can be seen in attached photo, the broken one is original surface tip.Hit or miss on weather it'll be a good tip.But hey, 15$ beats 50 any day, still cost way more than it should for so little plastic.P.S.If yours breaks and leaves half inside, just (carefully) push a needle into the tip. It's soft plastic, so it'll be pretty easy too, then pull out while applying pressure towards the side of the pen (So the needle wont just slide out and it'll pull the plastic with it) and you should be able to get it out.

works though and it draws just like my old one when doing a 6-10 hour art
Got here fast and it fits into my surface pro 3 pen, only complaint is its a little loose not enough that it falls out but its wobbly.works though and it draws just like my old one when doing a 6-10 hour art piece

Cheaper than a new pen. Works great.
You may find that you never need to replace the tip in your Microsoft Surface Pro 3 pen, but when you do, this is your best/only option, aside from buying a new $50 pen.**HINT** if the tip of your tip breaks off inside the body of the pen, use a pin and carefully and slowly push it into the soft plastic of the broken pen nib. This will allow you to extract it for replacement.

The best and only choice...
Careful, they are delicate before they are installed. It went in fine and I haven't had an issue. It's kind of ridiculous that there isn't official Microsoft tips for legacy surface products. Short of buying a brand new pen, this is the only option. So far, these work fine. I will update after a month+ of use.
