Great price POOR SUPPORT!
As far as Amazon this software was offered at a good price. Relating to the software support don't waste your time contacting them. The support reps just want you to use their internet interface. Free the first year and twenty bucks or so every year after that - not a lot of money but why spend it if you don't have to?I worked off and on over a five week period through their email and chat link - i found the support staff rude and condescending! I finally uninstalled it from our desktop and two laptops. I found that they spend more time emailing me to purchase other softwar they offered and seemed to care less about helping me setting up an easy system between my computers.Don't waste your money unless you are willing to purchase their internet linking system.

Laplink Gold problem
cannot use the Laplink supplied cable to transfer files to a computer with the Vista operating system........technical support is POOR to say the least

Best PC to PC file transfer on the market, BUT intallation on Windows 7 & 8 HOO DOGGY
I have used Laplink successfully since it came on the market. Couldn't do without it. Best of the Pc 2Pc file transfers because it compares dates. Installed Laplink Gold on Windows 7, it works but must wade through warning boxes each and every time. Installed on Windows 8 resulted in catastrophe. Did not work, and worse, literally embedded dozens of Laplink postings in the Windows registry. Why, I ask? So uninstalling requires 3 hours of regedit time plus seaching C drive for TSI files. Laplink technical support was courteous and apologetic. It seems Laplink programmers are out to destroy customers and theor own support staff. Support provided me with exact instructions for vaporizing the first install, then provided a bug free Laplink for my Windows 8 that works great. The Laplink web site sucks, the install sucks, the uninstall sucks, but technical support gets A+ and now that the product is correctly installed, so does Laplink. Now, how do I get my wasted afternoon back?

Software Hell
Purest crap, worse than Nuance Paperport. The upgrade is necessary (on two machines), but you're not told that, and don't even bother to call support unless you're into listening to the same stupid umpteen-bar blues riff (e-g-e-g-A) while on endless hold HELL. And after the upgrade it still fails to work. But thank Microsoft for removing the Easy Transfer Wizard from Win 10 so they could throw the business to one more incompetent software shop.
