Therapeutic Wooden Pillow - Neck Support

I decided to get this pillow as part of my DIY - fix my spine regime. After years of wear and tear my spine slowly deteriorated to a slew of aches and pains. Years of running on hard surface brought on a steady pain in my right lower back, hip, pelvis and knee area. My neck was constantly aching and stiff from sitting in from of the computer in the office, and I don't know what caused the problems in my thorasic(sp?) spine, but it was also stiff and hurting. I was also getting headaches on and off. I went to see a chiropractor who said that there were numerous subluxations (misalignments) in my spine and it would cost me $4,000 for him to repair. That was out of question - too much money, plus I was scared of anybody manipulating my spine.Throughout the years, I tried different things: exercise, yoga, foam rolling, inversion table, all kinds of stretching and some massage. These brought temporary relief and then the problems returned. What really got my attention was when the fingers in my right hand started to go numb, especially on week days when I had my hand on the computer mouse all day.So I started to sleep on the floor and that quite helped with my lower back. Then I got this pillow. The first few uses did not go too well. My neck was readjusting and along came more pain and even some numbness at the bottom of my skull. I stopped for a few days and then tried again. Every time I tried, things got better. I covered the pillow with a towel. I also realized that with each new use there was less or no pain. So I started to use to pillow not only for my neck, but for the whole spine, just mowing is slowly down the spine all the way to the tailbone - rest for a while on each area, then move further down. Again, after some initial discomfort, things got better.Now I am using it almost every day and I feel so much better. The pain is greatly reduced, and there comes a sense of relaxation along with more energy and well being, and it motivates me to use it more. The numbness in my fingers is gone. I believe that with a long term use this will help me immensely. I think the pillow is a great trigger point therapy. Also it does not take a long time to go over the routine. I am so glad I got this pillow and I am writing this review to encourage more people who are willing to take matters of their health into their own hands and do something about it.I know if had I gone to the doctors they would give me all kinds of drugs and scans and the verdict would have been some kind of surgery on my neck. I am sticking with the pillow, it will go anywhere I go. I will write an update how thing went down the road.Also I would like to add that the pillow is of very nice quality and well made.

The only reason I selected this company (though there are better offers here on amazon and wherever else), as the Korean King Spa in Chicago is using the pillows from this company, so I decided it would be the right size and the right type of wood! Alas! It is the right height for my height, but It is mush shorter in size, and it will barely work for your neck, but it won't be long enough for your other parts of your body, like your back, particularly or your hips. Don't buy it! I am glad I bought only one, as was planning to buy two. I will keep this for my neck, and will be looking for the right size somewhere else. Also I strongly recommend to check on the right size in Katsuzo Nishi's book. Too bad I received the book already after I had placed the order for the pillow. According to Nishi: " The height of the pillow should be equal to half of a round log, the radius of which is the same, as the length of the user's fourth finger."

First few days rubbing my neck into hard wood was so very painful it even gave me teary eyes and I had to pause. Back of my neck felt so stiff and I could feel strains of hardened knots stubbornly contracted. It gave me bruised like pain for next several days but I continued anyway because it felt so light afterwards. Now no more pain when I press my neck really hard against wood. It's amazing that pain is totally gone. It sometimes puts me sleepy while I'm laying on it. It's just piece of wood you might think but this is great. My few other friends love it too.

I was incredibly skeptical of this purchase, but the Wooden Pillow was highly recommended by a fantastic masseuse. After using this product for several weeks, I can tell you it is wonderfully effective. Eight hours of computer use every day, combined with running and biking, mean my shoulders are tight and my neck is constantly strained. Additionally my lower back occasionally aches due to sleeping positions. The "pillow" solves all these problems.The Sae Arc is a great choice since it comes with an instruction guide and tips on how to use effectively. If you suffer from any of the issues above, please consider purchasing this product. You will be amazed!

This thing is like laying on a log. A very smooth log. No termites or splinters. Surprisingly, resting my neck on it (the back of my neck, that is, helps me sleep better.

Truly an amazing product. My neck pain is relieved in just a few minutes a day.
