Axelgaard SN2020 Ultrastim Snap Electrodes, Square, 2" Width, 2" Length (Pack of 40)

I use a tens unit daily for chronic pain, and was beginning to get contact dermatitis (allergic reaction) where the pads were being placed. At the time I was using cheap pads from no-name companies. I decided to switch to hypo-allergenic pads for sensitive skin. No better. Then I switched to ones using "premium tyco gel." Skin was still itching. On top of the rash, I was having to switch out cheap pads regularly, as they tended to create a sharp, painful zap whenever the adhesive began to wear away.I eventually went to a dermatologist who specializes in contact dermatitis. She asked me to ask the manufacturers of the various tens unit pads for a list of their ingredients. Most of the chinese companies didn't return my requests, or provided me literature that was didn't pass the eye test.By this time I had gotten the axelgaard ultrastims. Data on these pads was easily available and was approved by my doctor. And even though these were not "hypoallergenic" pads, they didn't seem to cause allergic reactions.The doctor said that "hypo-allergenic" is just a marketing term and doesn't mean anything.My doctor found some chemicals and fragances I was allergic too. She also told me that denmark has laws that forces medical suppliers to be much more open with what is in their products, so their products should be the least likely to cause a reaction. I'm still using the ultrastims, and though I sometimes do have a reaction on my back, it is very infrequent. If you are getting skin reactions to tens pads, give these puppies a shot. If they don't work, nothing will.Also, the odd pattern on these electrodes does seem to eliminate electrical "hot spots" that will cause discomfort from some pads I've used. I usually get a week out of a set of pads that I keep on for 10 hours a day on my upper back, an area that can get oily over the span of a day. I probably could go longer if putting on/taking off shirts didn't dislodge the pads when the adhesive has started to lessen.

I like these... they stick well, and if taken care of are definitely reusable. Actually, I used a couple on my mother one night. I was horrified the next morning when I found she had taken them off during the night and had stuck them to her tissue box next to her bed. When I first saw them I figured they were ruined so I didn't even bother with them until that night. I pulled them off and spritzed them with Electro-Mist® Conductive Spray and let them sit for a couple of minutes before replacing them on their plastic sheet that I placed inside the plastic bag. Surprisingly, the next day I used them again on my mother. They have been used at least five times now. So, if you take care of them they will serve you well.

Perfect pads at a great price. My boss using these in her Chiropractic practice. They are high quality and just what she wanted. Will buy again.

Looks and works great.

These are the best you can get. Flexible and comfortable with no hot spots or stinging. I can usually use a pad 20 - 30 times. At a little over a dollar each they are a better deal than the cheap ones. Just follow care instructions. I buy in smaller quantities online from a medical supply house. (ProMed Products Xpress)
