Small is petite, but a good size for my parakeet. They are fresh and well packed for transport.
My pet parakeet was just re-homed to me about 3 weeks ago. She is about 1.5 years old. I don't believe her previous owner ever gave her a cuttlebone. I searched for a cuttlebone that was not too big. I opened the box to find 4 petite cuttlebones. All of them came individually wrapped for transport safety. All 4 bones arrived intact. All 4 bones appear bright and fresh, without dark sports or strange markings. My bird is a parakeet, so these bones and their size are fine for her. I don't have a cuttlebone holder, so I was counting on the little metal clip to hold the bone. Well, it broke pretty quickly. I managed to secure the bone inside her cage using some of her toys. I'll have to look for a better holder. She avoided the bone for a few days, but then finally went for it. I have been watching her crunching and rubbing on it each day, since. She is still on her first bone. It is holding up nicely. She is able to wear it down and chew the edges, but it's not wearing away too quickly or breaking apart. As far as cuttlebones go, I think these are of good quality. they are just soft enough. My bird appears to really love it.

AMAZING FOR PICKY BIRDS
Okay so let me just say—these cuttlebones are like the gold standard of bird care . I got them for my cockatiel, Berry, who is the absolute PICKIEST little prince when it comes to toys, perches, or anything in his cage. But the moment I tightened one of these in, he immediately started pecking and nibbling like it was his favorite snack ever. The quality of these cuttlebones is chef’s kiss perfect. They’re thick but not TOO hard—Berry can flake it off easily with his beak, and I love that they aren’t so crumbly that there’s powdery mess all over the bottom of the cage. Just the right texture! Plus, they come in a multi-pack (mine came with 4 bones total), so it’s super convenient to always have a fresh one ready when he finishes the old one Another thing I LOVE is how they help keep his beak trimmed! Before I started giving him cuttlebones regularly, his beak would grow a bit long between vet visits. But ever since I started offering these? these also keep his beak look sharp, healthy, and shaped PERFECTLY. Not even kidding. They also have a natural calcium boost, which is SO important for cockatiels and other parrots, especially during molting or if they’re laying eggs (Berry is a boy, but still—health matters!!). I’ve noticed his feathers looking shinier and stronger since I made cuttlebones a regular thing in his cage. The clips that come with them are definitely a bit hard to put in but they do the job! i’d hope they were real clips but i ended up having to use a holder since they kept falling but they do work if your bird doesn’t try to pull them out like mine! Overall, I love this product. If your bird has a longer beak, you NEED to get these cuttlebones. They’re affordable, long-lasting, and make such a difference in both physical health and mental enrichment If I could give this product 100 stars I WOULD!!! It works so well and are definitely top peak fresh ♥️

This is cheap and shows it.
They are very small and the thin aluminum strap to hang the cuttle bone is so thin and short it doesn’t work to hang it on the birdcage.

Big Hit with my Tortoises
These cuttlebone pieces have been a big hit with my desert tortoises. They took to them right away and clearly enjoy nibbling on them. The pieces are good quality, clean, and a nice size, making them easy for the tortoises to use. It’s a simple way to add extra calcium, and it’s great to see how much they love them. Definitely a good buy for tortoise owners!

Brittle and tiny
This is extremely small and brittle, my cockatiels made a mess of it. It was not worth the price I paid. Was partially broken in the box. I do not recommend this product.

The metal on the back is quite flimsy and doesn’t hold too well to the cage but if you’re able to drill a hole throgg it h the top and put a chain through them then these are amazing
