Mals Double Oven Gloves, Red with white spots 100% Cotton

I cannot understand why this has positive reviews, the quality is appalling. After one wash, it's faded a lot (see pics) and looks absolutely nothing like how I received it. I almost burnt myself when I was getting something out of the oven last night! The oven was set at 200 degrees. The material is very thin for an oven glove, I have never in my life known something that is used to pick up extremely hot things, to be SO thin! My previous oven glove is much thicker and it was a lot cheaper. Yes, this is still cheap, however, it's expensive given it's apparent 'good quality' which is non existent. Waste of money. I think I will just buy one in town, rather than from Amazon, at least then I can see how thick it really is and if it can REALLY withstand heat from an oven for more than a few SECONDS, whereas this, cannot. The previous reviewers can't be using the oven glove, perhaps they are reviewing based on appearances and nothing else. Disappointing.

Many oven gloves are so firm, that its difficult to pick up things using them, but this was nice and pliable and great from the get go. I bought 2 different designs last week and wished i had bought two of this make instead, as the other one is so starchy I dont feel I cant lift hot things safely. This is great and the colour is vibrant too.

This is a good quality item, well made and perfect for the job. AND its made in England! Not China for a change.

I better double oven

The are nice and long so good for us people with longer arms, but they aren't very thick or well padded in the hands part, so don't offer more than a few seconds use before the heat starts to come through
