TOAKSTitanium Folding Spork

It’s light and short, but it’s supposed to be compact. Not really for digging out food from those “add boiling water” meals, but works well for easy to get to foods.

PROS:-Perfect size, both open, and especially when folded-Comes with a great storage bag-Durable material-Smart design with locking bar so it doesn't fold when you don't want it to.CONS:-Fork tongs are a bit short for my preference. Wish they were longer, but they still work fine.-If you apply too much pressure and didn't slide that locking bar down enough, it might just fold on you in the middle of a bite (Has only happened to me once. It was kind of funny!)I don't eat out a lot, but when I do, I'm pack'n my TOAKS Titanium Folding Spork! It's pocket sized, comes in a cool and useful bag so it doesn't get dirty from those BPA contaminated store receipts in your pocket.OK, so maybe I go to Chipotle Mexican Grill a bit more than the average person. I figure, if every time I go there, I bring my own spork, and don't waste another toxic plastic fork, that's one less piece of trash in a landfill. Over the course of a few years, this will reduce the number of plastic forks in landfills by the thousands. BOOM! Next step, bring my own reusable GLASS containers and stop using their toxic, plastic-lined bowls, and lethal Aluminum foil/lids (Alzheimer's anyone?).

I'm not a huge fan of sporks, but it does the trick. Like all the toaks titanium folding utensils, it is light(18g or .6oz) and does what it needs to. The small tines are a blunt, so it wont stab your food just real well and it is fairly shallow for a spoon, but it's a spork. What do you expect? I got this for my wife while I carry the spoon and fork.The slider on the handle is meant to be pushed down to lock it in position. When slid back, the handle can actually be removed. I have noticed that my other utensils slide a bit too easily, so I will bend the wire a little so that it puts more tension and solves that problem. That is pretty well the only problem you can have with these utensils and is easily fixed. I have considered peening the ends of the wires so that they can not be removed or accidentally separate during storage, but have not gone that far yet.

What I love about this spork is that it actually functions as a real spoon & fork. The design allows room for liquid products to sit nicely via the "dip" of the spoon. Some sporks I have used before were so flat or straight that it cannot pick up or hold any liquids. In addition the fork feature actually is sharp enough that it also holds noodles in tact instead of sliding off. Not to mention how easily it folds and keeps its form when tightened for use. A lightweight product that does what it should do. Everyone should have one whether they're a backpacker or not.A great alternative to single-use items and avoiding plastic.

These sporks are great. It's a standard, generic Made in China design. Lots of companies sell this same one with their brand name and logo on it. I had the REI version for years (but lost it). I've seen other companies' identical ones too. But that isn't a problem...it's a great design: functional, light, strong. It folds well, and holds together well when unfolded in use. Basically, regardless of the brand name, if you see one of these for 7-10 bucks, get it!

Both of the attached pictures are taken from the product description. One shows a carrying bag and the other picture shows the packaging without a carrying bag. I have ordered two of these items in the past and they did come with a bag. The one I ordered recently came in the shown packaging without a bag. The spoon is fine and what I expected. I wanted the bag however. Not the end of the world but dissapointing as included carrying bag is one of the reasons I ordered this brand.

I bring this spork to work everyday with my lunch, and it works whether I'm eating soup or salad. It's also so compact that I wash it and leave it in my lunch bag, so it's always there when I need it. Of course it's not as sturdy as a standard spoon or fork, but the portability and convenience definitely makes up for that. When I make purchases, I do my research and make sure that I'm not wasting my money. After looking at all the options, I believe this spork optimizes price and quality. I have only had it for a few months, but I use it every day and can safely assume that it will last a very long time. If and when it breaks or I lose it I will happily purchase this exact product again.

I originally purchased this spork because I bring my own packed lunches to work and was generally displeased with the sharp, plastic cutlery offered at my workplace. Also, as I was looking for ways to reduce needless plastic consumption carrying along this little spork seemed like a good idea vs bringing my heavier cutlery from home.So far I'm definitely pleased! I can see this item having great applicability for camping, backpacking, cycling or anywhere where weight or space-saving is a concern. It's so small and light when folded that I leave it in my bag all the time which is really a convenient because then I don't forget it at home. Functionally, it works for 99% of the foods I eat or take with me for lunch (from soups to curries, pastas, vegetables, salads, pretty much anything where you could envision needing either a fork or spoon). I just love this spork, I used it on multiple bikepacking tours and I can’t get enough of it. It’s super light and stable, it has a good grip and works perfectly as spoon or fork. It has a good fit for my mouth as well. Easy to clean, after many uses, it still looks like new

En camping, en viaje deportivo esta cuchara muy util, se lava facilmente, el sistema de pliegue parece solido y bien pensado. Un must to have.
