Great for Mercruiser Alpha 1 Gen 2 Outdrive
So far they seem to be holding up, but time will tell. I've always used the OEM Anodes but decided to give these a try at almost half the cost. Both are Aluminum so I will be looking to see how well they hold up compared to past years. The salt water can be harsh and I change them at the start of each season anyhow. If they prove to have worked well this season I will consider them for future seasons and save the extra money to put towards something else the boat needs.I will update this review and share how they performed.UPDATE 9-5-2014So I installed these at the start of the season early June of 2014 which means they have been used for 3 full months. From a visual inspection in the water I can only see 2 of the anodes that sit on each side of the outdrive and they look partially eaten away as they should, but not completely wasted away so I would say they are peforming like the oem ones as far as I can tell. I typically change them every season so once I pull the boat out in another 1-2 months they will have had a full season under their belt and I will be able to inspect them close up. Stay tuned...Update 10-15-2014The Verdict after 1 long season in the salt water is that I RECOMMENDED these anodes! I will probably buy these again if I see the price dip just so I have them for next season.I pulled my boat out for the season and winterized it last weekend. From the looks of the anodes the salt water definitely takes its toll no matter what brand they are. These anodes definitely got eaten up a lot but did their job extremely well. I did not have much growth on my outdrive which means the anodes sacrificed and took the growth. Would I reuse them, probably not since its cheap insurance to just replace them every year since growth is extremely fast where I dock my boat.Update 10-05-2016This past boating season I used the OEM Mercruiser anodes since my boat yard gave me a great price on them. At the end of the season the OEM anodes were just as eaten up as the Martyr ones, it not slightly more. I noticed a screw was visible from the side on one of the ram anodes so it didn't do any better of a job. Final verdict is that the Martyr Anodes are just as good as the OEM's and there is no reason to spend more money on OEM. I RECOMMEND THESE ANODES!-------------------------Just so everyone knows, I also paint my outdrive with Interlux Trilux paint. Past years I have sprayed it on, but this season I decided to paint brush/roll it on and it went on very thick. So thick that I may only have to touch it up next year.-------------------------Bottom Paint-If anyone needs a recommendation on bottom paint for your boat's hull, do not hesitate to open up your wallet and pay the premium for Interlux Micron Extra. It is super expensive, but I put 2 coats on my boat 4 or 5 season ago, power wash it at the end of each season, and I have only needed to touch it up in a few spots. Beats repainting it every season with the cheap paint. Well worth its price to not have to do the labor year after year.

Great cost effective solution to replace anodes
Martyr brand anodes are a highly recommended alternative to quicksilver brand anodes. All these anodes fit correctly and were direct replacements. This kit comes with all necessary anodes for a Mercruiser Alpha 1 Gen 2 outdrive. The trim tab anode included is a flat one though so if you need a trim tab anode that actually functions as a trim tab also then you will need to purchase it separately.Suppsedly aluminum anodes are the future and both outperform and are safer for the environment than zinc anodes. I ended up switching because the trim tab anode that I wanted is only made with aluminum.

Mercruiser Alpha One Gen 2
Came with all the necessary parts, screws, fittings, etc to do a full swap on my outdrive. Easy to do the swap - all you need to know is how to turn a screw driver and where to find the right parts. The only difference between this and what was on before - the trim tab annode is flat. The one I had before had a small anti-cavitation fin that stuck down towards the prop. I swapped back to that style as I believe it gives me slightly better performance and keeps the prop from cavitating under heavy load in tight turns.

Perfect fit
We installed this on an Alpha One - Gen II. The boat is a 1999 Rinker Captiva 192. The fit was perfect. Would suggest using Locktite Red (removeable - non-permanent).

Mercruiser Alpha 1 cathodic protection
Like that this product fit and is as described. The replacements aren't truly "replacements" bc the originals were zinc. But this is a great alternative at a much lower cost.

Solid deal
Fit my Alpha 1 gen 2 like a glove. Quality looks legit. Allen head bolt for rear anode was easier to install than the old hex bolt.

Fast shipping...quality product.
First off, wow on the shipping. Wasn't prime, but it might as well have been. We replace ours every year, probably could get two years, but not worth taking chances in this brackish water. They work well and last the way they should.
