This nifty little solar panel is very thin, lightweight, and easily deployed. The suction cups let's you stick it on windows or windshields so that's nice. I use it to charge my camping battery.It includes lots of SAE connectors which is nice. Really wish there was a SAE to MC4 option. You cannot charge directly to USB either.The listing says 12v but the box and panel say 18v / 0.56 amp equalling 10 watts.Overall a nifty device but you would need to understand solar and how electricity works. For the price it is decent, but bigger panels could be had for cheaper. just depends on your useage and needs.

My 1st one was wired backwards, but I made it work by reversing polarity at the regulator (purchased separately). I like the product, so i bought 2 more & they were wired opposite of the 1st one…just be aware, so you don’t blow up your battery! Check it 1st with a meter…and use a regulator.

I drive a 1973 Ford F-250, and I have encountered a dead battery on more than one occasion, especially after sitting for long periods of time between starts. I got this solar panel kit and while it came with a cigarette lighter adapter and alligator clips, I went ahead and hard-wired it into my 12-volt system, and now it lives on my dash. I tested the output with my multi-meter and it puts out exactly what it claims in the product specifications. Since installing I've noticed stronger cold-starts from my starter and I expect this will help extend the life of my battery as well. This was a very inexpensive investment compared to the cost of a new battery.

It does charge however it I’d not rated for out door use so needs to be inside the vechicle. There is now indicators that it is working. You just have to set it in the sun for 14 hours and hope it is charging and not damaging your battery. The material can not get wet and is just a canvas material

no apparent spec for SAE connector polarity, but battery hot should be covered vs solar panel side, and it isstill, be careful as both battery (or fuse box) and panel will be electrically hot-- various reverse polarity gender swapping adapters available, plugs end caps too-- not in SAE J1128-2020, color maybe in EA-1128-2020PVC (bad for health) rotted in the sun, cover with liquid tape (or similar toxic stuff) unless you like PVC dust balls.10W (mostly ~0.2A) still low enough to trickle without needing charge controller

I purchased this charger based on a review from my brother who lives in England. I understand that. These solar chargers are used in England frequently and they don’t get much sun. I purchased this for a motor home, it works very well, I don’t need to run any electrical chords or use any electricity, just let the sun power the charger and keep the batteries in good condition. What a great idea.

I bought this and a car jumper battery pack but didn’t need it cause it required a running voltage to detect the battery so it’s safer to just buy this part instead. The solar keeps the battery recharged without you having to rev the engine or sit on idle which is also bad for the cylinders and can cause you lung cancer… highly recommend this.
