DETEKNIX Pin-Pointer Metal Detector Xpointer Orange with Ratio Audio/Vibration Indication

Not much to say that hasn't already been said in previous reviews; great pin-pointer in every regard. Vibrate function is powerful and easily felt with gloves on. Sound is loud, maybe a touch too loud for my tastes, but should help for older folks. On a minor point, this is NOT yellow like pictured. Even the box shows a yellow model, but in the color options on the packaging itself, there is no yellow version of this available. This is a bright bold orange like you might find on rescue or fire equipment, for anyone who cares. The holster also has the same color trim and stitching for the logo. Holster fits pointer securely and won't fall out with movement yet easily removed, and belt attachment is solid. The belt loop velcros to the case so it stays put if not used and resizes itself effectively with smaller belts. Snap is secure but not difficult for older hands and joints. The attachment of the lanyard using a split ring works fine but the thin plastic loop to hook on to the cap seems like it could get broken pretty easily if dropped or whacked against a rock but does have some small amount of reinforcement. Oring seal on cap is snug and appears would be effective. There was some flashing on the plastic threads that might have compromised the seal if not removed - I recommend inspecting closely and cleaning if you're concerned about use around liquid. Very happy with purchase, excellent quality, feels very solid and I don't think you'll find a better price/performance product.

This is a good unit. Compares to another major brand with a slightly higher price tag. Very pleased with the depth of detection and the construction. I purchased a less expensive unit first and got what I paid for.

This is a excellent pinpointer. It has 3 sensitivity settings and all of them work very well at detecting various metals. My husband gave this to me along with a standard metal detector so we can have a hobby to do together. I am very pleased with my new pinpointer and will be using it a lot. It's so much better than my daughter's pinpointer (which cost a lot less than this one) in that the Deteknix will detect a metal object over an inch away, whereas hers has to be right at the object to be detected. You definitely get what you pay for with this pinpointer.

Amazing Performance, I'm shocked by the features and high quality while also maintaining a lower price point. Many reviews say that the Garrett AT is a superior pointer, however when compared to my Garrett in a side by side, I was actually receiving better results from the Deteknix Xpointer.I highly recommend this product to any detectorists who are looking for a reliable pin pointer. With 4 levels of sensitivity, a vibrate, audible, or a combo notification. As well as having an LED light and a power saving alert. You couldn't ask for a better product!

Works well, but the battery life for this pinpointer is poor. For what you end up paying on batteries this pinpointer is not worth it in the long run. Also 9v batteries are rather expensive. They should make this to accept AAs or have a built-in rechargeable battery.

i wanted a pinpointer that would not interfere with my detector. most of the pinpointers i tried caused chatter unless the two were about 10 ft apart. that is not practical. i have tried this with various detectors and no chatter on all of them. i'm not concerned about being waterproof altho i do detect near wet sand. the depth it will detect to is at least 3" which is a lot better than most. i'm lucky to get 2" from another brand name pointer. this one costs less for more performance. 5 stars all day.

The x-pointer works fine,and seems to be sturdy enough,I just wish it was a little louder in the audio,,,but all up...very good.

I have been asked to do a review of the orange deteknix pin pointer I did not receive this item for free or at any discounted price ( free would be nice) lol. Seriously this is the best pinpointed I have ever used, it is well built even has an led light for added vision in darker areas. all I can say now is WOW!!!! Hurry and order yours soon while they last and I don't believe you will disappointed in any way...very happy customer and recommend the deteknix pinpointed to all detectors oh yeah it save about 80% of digging you do without it yes it's that good try it and you will love it too

Bought for my son in place of his large metal detector, this is so handy to carry around, and very sensitive for locating objects in soil and sand. I've seen someone using it hanging from a cord and swinging it along but mostly it's for close work, excellent value for the price.
