Solid, tighten side ports before filling
This umbrella and base set are very well made. It’s heavy, but that helps to keep it stable. Works great and will likely hold up well. Covers a wide area, providing shade and is easy to operate.Base is sold separately. This is something I missed when ordering. However, I got this in and out it together. Needed one additional person to place the umbrella on the stand.Be sure and tighten up the side valves before filling with water. They were loose out of the box. No mention of the two of them in the directions. I found them when they started leaking water. Easy fix to tighten them. I used a large coin, turning clockwise to stop the water. So far, it’s worked fine.Would recommend.

Well designed base
Definitely a bit pricey, but the base was easy to assemble and works well….supporting the umbrella securely.

Solid and heavy
I have bought this base which is sold separately with the 10’ round wind resistant umbrella. The base is big and heavy and when adding water to it makes it even heavier.

It work well!
Pro’s: it works as advertised. I filled the base with water and provided a stable platform for my 13’x 9’ purple leaf umbrella. Con’s: the base comes with an easy to use top fill area for both sides. It also has drains on each side so you can drain the water from the base to move the umbrella. Issue, both drains leak requiring refill once a week or so to stabilize the umbrella. Not a great value, but you need it to use the umbrella. Cost was over $200, definitely not worth the money. I’d shop around for a base a bit cheaper and more reliable.

Great stand, just make sure the outlet plug is fully closed
This stand is really big, but it needs to be to support the giant umbrella we ordered. We filled the base with sand and water. We noticed it leaked, so I contacted the Purple Leaf company. They responded quickly and even sent photos of things to check to make sure it wasn't user error. And, they follow up to make sure everything is ok. What an amazing company to deal with! They truly seemed interested in customer satisfaction. We've ordered multiple umbrellas and bases from them in the past and their products and service are exceptional!

Outstanding customer service for a great product - Happy Customer!
This is an excellent base, easy to assemble and, when filled with water, is super stable and heavy enough to hold the PURPLE LEAF 9' X 12' Patio Umbrella securely. We live on the 11th floor with a terrace that gets strong winds. This base never tipped. It did develop a small crack (so only four stars for durability) and when I contacted Purple Leaf customer service by email and sent a picture and order details, I received a quick response and offer to send me a new unit which was shipped the next week at no cost to me. I work with many companies/vendors as part of my job and Purple Leaf is one of the most responsive I've worked with. Five stars for Purple Leaf products and service!

Perfect, high-quality base for the Purple Leaf Cantilever umbrella!
The media could not be loaded. This is the base that is required for the purple leaf cantilever umbrella. It is somewhat expensive, but you get what you pay for: very high-quality and excellent product.

Super duper umbrella base!
This umbrella base is huge! Luckily we have the room for it but still it takes up a lot of space. It’s made incredibly strong! With the water you put in they say it’s 225 lbs or something like that. It does seem to keep the umbrella grounded, so that’s good. We live 4 miles from the beach and it just seems like it’s always a little windy here. Just to be safe, I only open it up when it’s not too windy.
