Replacement for Nuvi 760 Battery with Tools - Compatible with GPS Navigator Batteries (1300mAh 3.7V Lithium Polymer)

XLNT !! just as advertised, arrived just a bit sooner than i was told, (Im in Aust). And like most other reviews, less than $15 battery, bigger capacity than original, and all garmin stores tell you, battery cant be replaced, you have to buy new GPS. new battery holds charge way better than orig. all up, great work from store & amazon. pitty amazon dosent have a reasonable post to aust. batt $13. post $35. i know that the post serv, not saying anything bad about amazon. but they can do get sell etc, so many other amazing products, just wish they could sort a reasonable post serv. (yes i know some things are good price or free post). again thnx for awesome all round experience. Joshy :-)

Delivery was better than expected. Product packaged well. No damage. The tools that came with the battery worked perfectly for me. Although I didn't use the case splitter tool. My thumbnail worked very well, so I didn't try it. The kit came with two torx bit screwdrivers. #5 and #4. So this should solve any of the problems I've read in pervious reviews. The #4 bit I used worked just as well as a #4 Torx bit I got from Compaq Computer years ago. Battery was about 3/4 charged when I installed it. However I have not done a full charge or seen how long the battery will last. If I remember to I'll revisit this review after a few months to say how good the battery longevity is. The only thing that I think is missing from the kit is the double backed sticky tape that Garmin uses to adhere the battery to the inside of the case. Without it the battery would flop around and could become damaged. Might be something the vendor would consider adding to the kit. But as I keep lots of this kind of tape around, it wasn't a problem for me. Installation took about 5 minutes. Nice to have a functioning GPS again. At this point, I would buy again.

The tools that came with the battery are useless for the Nuvi 760. The torx screwdriver is too big and the pry bar tips and head are extremely fragile and break off easily.

Well, the battery works great, just as advertised, but my Nuvi 760 required a smaller torx than the tools that came with it. I had to go to the store to get the right torx tool, so that was frustrating. The tools are also cheap $1 tools from China, which is what I think everyone expects them to be, but they will work provided they are the size you need. Other than that, it all went well.

Great price, easy to install.. works like brand new. The only downside was that the pry tool used to open up the case is too fragile and broke.

I have not installed this battery yet but it appears to be a perfect replacement for the original. It was thoughtful of the seller to provide tools for installation. I'm giving it 4-stars with the expectation that it will work like the original when it's time to replace.

This worked perfectly with tools provided for my Garmin GPS..Only problem was plastic pry tool broke and I had to improvise to pry off back cover..Also had to purchase double back tape ( $2.29) at local hardware..This fixed my 8 year old Garmin GPS.Now working like new!

Ordered on Saturday and received the following Thursday. Tools worked great. Installed battery in 10 minutes. My Nuvi 760 now keeps a charge like the first day I bought it. Would order from this company again.

Easy installation of the new battery once I got the old battery out. The pry tool used for opening the GPS wasn't very strong and broke. I ended up using a scrap of hardwood to open the GPS without damaging it. The kit should have included a piece of double sided tape to hold things in place. The battery holds a charge and seems to work satisfactorily. I'd buy again from this seller.

The tools and instructions were fine, but the battery itself only lasted a month or so before I put the old one back in. I was expecting the new battery to power the device for several hours but the best it did was 1/2 hour or so.

New battery works perfectly to replace the old battery which would no longer hold a charge. Getting the case open is a bit tricky - recommend that you watch one or two of the various tutorials on Youtube showing how to do this, which were very helpful.
