I have a hair curler that does not feature auto shut off, so I purchased this item which has already come in handy a couple of times I forgot to unplug. I also have an older small coffee maker that I take when traveling, and this will come in handy for a safe shut off as well. Works as described. Gives you a variety of time options.

I use this timer for my hair rollers which have to be plugged in to heat up and unplugged after use. Now I don't have to worry with plugging and unplugging in the mornings when I am in a hurry. I just tap the button for the minutes using. It turns on immediately and shuts off on the setting selected. Very dependable. It can be used on electric skillets, coffee pots, and so many more electrical products.

I am a 69-year-old woman. My grandmother and my mother's best friend both fell and broke their hip when they were about my age. I am very reluctant to leave my stove unattended, for fear I could get hurt, and a fire could start.This device makes me feel safer. The plug does not work unless you set the timer. Once you set the timer, the light on the device is red so you know the power is on.When I make pasta, I set the timer for 15 minutes, the length of time for my big pot of water to start boiling. Once I put my pasta in the pot, I set it for another 15 minutes. The first time I used it, I set the microwave timer, and the red light went out exactly after 15 minutes.It's given me peace of mind, knowing that a fire won't start if I fall down and hurt myself.

Used to control exhaust fan in bathroom. Worked great for about two weeks then started working inconsistently. Doesn’t always allow me to set 5 min without playing around with selector. I am a little too far from a return location or I would return it for a replacement. Nice design, nice product for the cost…

I use this with a space heater in my kids bathroom so they don’t forget to leave the space heater on when they use it on cold mornings to heat up the bathroom for their showers. Evidently my tween daughters are not very tolerant to the cold, lol.

This device shuts off power; it is great. I am in early stages of dementia. Cooking was no longer safe because I could not remember to shut off the range. I got this count down timer to see if I could cook again. I plug an electric skillet into the timer. It's simple to use. Just push the button for 5, 10 or 15 minutes. Then if I forget, the timer shuts off the electric skillet. No more fire hazard. For me, the simple setting is a big feature. If it were more complicated, and required various settings, I would have trouble using it. For anyone who is experiencing memory problems and no longer feels safe cooking, this count down timer is ideal.

Loved it at first. Seemed to work just fine.A few weeks later it stopped working at all. I was too late to return it because I'd forgotten it had arrived and I didn't get to it for a while and by the time it stopped working it was past the deadline.Idea was great, but if it doesn't work at all, it is useless.

I use this for my hot water circulation pump. Two pushes will run pump for 5 minutes, which is perfect time to get water to my shower. Then it turns off, so I don't have to remember.If I could improve one thing, I would make 5 min the first option, rather than stay on, just to reduce likelihood of accidentally letting pump run permanently.

A nice compact unit that covers only one plug of the two plug receptacle, allowing use of the outlet without the timer as well. Activate button has a nice positive feel. The labels for time units are very small and can only be read from up close but I have learned how many 'clicks' (button pushes) will give me the setting that I want. I timed each setting and they are accurate. I use it for the cheap coffee maker that I like so that I never have to worry about leaving it on. Great purchase.

Great timer that will shut off the power after a pre-set time. It has a 5, 10, 15 and 30 minute timer option.No issues so far, so i'm happy.
