If you live in the US, this probably won't work for you.
I will be returning for refund. It doesn't do the job. I tried one out before I bought. When I used just the around the neck receiver with ear buds it worked well enough to hear people one on one. So I decided to go ahead and buy it. This one - sometimes it works as I have described above, mostly not. That function is why I chose this device. The remote is frustrating as well. Static comes out of nowhere. (Same with the around the neck device, that only makes it embarrassing to have to stop people in mid-sentence and say, "Wait I am getting static.") That is the first problem with the remote. The second problem is: It just stops at times. I will have it on the podium at church. In mid-sermon it fades and I hear nothing. I am sitting 15 feet away with no obstruction of any kind (No PCs, no fans, no motors, no metal) between me and the device. Between that and the static, simply put, I am not spending several hundred dollars dollars for a device that doesn't deliver as promised.(In a conversation with a pro I was told this: "The Conversor is made in the United Kingdom and operates in the 216 MHz range of frequencies. Here in the US, there are radio frequencies reserved for hearing accommodation equipment, but they are in the 72 – 75MHz range. I am guessing that the frequency of the Conversor and the frequency of the microphones in church are running very close to each other. This would cause random loss of signal and maybe some static as well.")Oh, and it is ridiculous that a fully charged battery goes dead while it is just sitting there. This means you can't charge it, put it in your purse and know it will be ready to use the next day or evening when you need it. When you don't use it every day you have to keep it plugged in and then remember to unplug it when you leave. Not at all convenient. (My expert: "I have never been a fan of rechargeable batteries for the reason that you point out. An FM system in the US range with regular, alkaline batteries would be easier to carry around and use whenever you needed it. The difference is that the transmitter would have an external microphone that plugs into it.")
