E8400MM Stainless Automatic Gate Opener for Gates up to 13 Feet Long and 600 Pounds for Single Swing Gate

This gate opener is the best buy for your money. Stainless steel and screw driven, it will last. I purchased this and installed it about a month ago, and have not had any problems at all. The install was simple, the gate opens in about 10 seconds, you can select an auto close, it has soft start/close speeds, if the gate runs into something the motor auto stops, you can add features like sensors, keypad entry, etc, has included battery backup power, the wireless key fabs open it from a good distance away.I don't know how the electronics will hold up over time, but initially they have been perfect. The weather-proof box that comes with the opener is great and should keep everything working fine.The only improvement I could ask for is an option for it to swing the gate more than 90 degrees, it would be nice if the arm was long enough to swing 110 degrees so that the gate could be completely out of the way instead of partially on the driveway when I drive by.If I could give it 4.5 stars I would, but because of the quality that you get for the money, it is a 5 star recommendation.

After returning a mighty mule opener that closed on it's own on my truck I found this opener.It's built like a tank in stainless and came with 3 remotes . I have no idea why the other brand only provides 1 .It also come with brackets that allow you to mount the gate pull or push and came with a battery that is working by itself and a 20 watt solar panel .So far I love it. . it looks better . Feels better came with more quality accessories and the remotes work better and further . Works about 50 yards away from inside my house so I'm not going to use a keypad now .2 things to consider ,It comes with a separate power box you need to mount somewhere , (a few other brands the circuit board is built inside the junk plastic housing )And it for some reason would just open my 13ft gate at full lock both ways , any shorter and it would not have opened enough .For the money I don't think it can be beat on every level . Plus it came with all the brackets , 3 remotes and a battery .

I ordered a solar gate opener, product came without solar panel, was able to splice in a 7ah panel I had recently bought elsewhere, to keep battery charged. So opener works, slow but works, added two push button controls I fabricated to open gate without remotes, one outside gate, the other inside. Remotes work well, good range.

Easy to install, had a couple of questions about how to add a hold open feature and Jason was fast to reply with clear directions on how to get it done. As far as the opener, i have had it for 4 months and so far no problems, seems heavy duty i put it on a really heavy gate and it opens and closes it easily

THESE OPENERS NEARLY PUT ME OUT OF BUSINESS!!!!. After doing research, reading tons of reviews and settling on this unit, I began installing these openers as a business. The problem first began on my own gate, which was the first opener I installed. The gate began to malfunction after approximately 3 months of light use on a gate that was way lighter than the specs even called for. I triple checked all connections and even sent a picture of my wiring to the company so that they could verify my work was correct. They verified I had installed it correctly and sent a new board, stating that it was rare for this to ever happen. A few weeks later I started getting phone calls from countless customers having similar problems. I triple checked connections, battery and solar panels on all units...everything appeared operational. While inspecting the circuit boards I began to notice the same problem on all the units. They seemed to intermittently power down and power up even without being touched. As I began to look into return options on all the boards I began to realize the nightmare had just begun. The company wanted me to pay for return shipping and buy the $100 boards until I could send the old boards back so they could “verify” the boards were defective. When I received word back from the company that there was nothing wrong with the first board I sent but that they would return it “just this once” I realized this problem was bigger that I had first realized.Fast forward....we have switched to Apollo openers and eaten all of our profits on the installed for the first six months of business. Thankfully the nightmare is over for us and we didn’t piss too many people off by offering free installs on our Apollo’s.DONT MAKE THE MISTAKE WE DID....DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

This gate motor works great!! After suffering with all kinds of problems with another brand (replaced twice) for the last thirteen years, we chose this brand and model. We are so pleased! Fairly simple to install with only a few curse words and 4 trips to the hardware store (normal for us!), we are back in our "gated community" . Gate is very quiet, fast and the remote works from 3 houses down. Would recommend to everyone!!

The stainless steel opener is a thing of beauty. It looks like it will last forever. My only gripe is the control box which strikes me as old fashioned. It uses relay's intead of solid state which means it takes a moment to kick in when you activate it and I gotta figure it's going to fail one day. And the settings are harder to put in. I've seen nicer controls on cheaper systems.

This is our third different brand of opener on our front gate in ten years. After two years of service it has not failed once. The range of the remote is twice what the Mighty Mule opener was. Easy install. Zero rust or corrosion in two years.
