Second Sunday

I chose this rating because I have read Michele's other books and they all are inviting, funny and true to some point. I have been in church all of my life and some of these people remind me of people I grew up with. You will definitely enjoy her books.I suggest that you try to read them in the order that they were released to get the full effect of the stories.

If you were raised in a black church like I was, this book makes total sense. However, if you weren’t, it’ll be difficult to understand the speech and the many characters. This is my second time reading this book, first read many years ago, and it’s like an old comfy sweater. It’s not great literature but it feels like home.

Is the third book in the church folk series very good read loved this book a must read You won't be disappointed !

I have always loved Me Bowen's books. The stories are captivating and balanced and the characters are realistic. She immersed you into this world and it's characters. I loved this book.

A well written book that depicted God fearing church members. I loved the humor, characters and story line.I would read it again,

I love this author, she is so funny. She understands the dynamics of the "black" church community and will have you in stiches laughing about it. I have enjoyed everything I have read by this author. I wish she would release more books. If you want a good clean laugh, read it. If you need cheering up, read it and you will feel better. She truly has a gift.

Another funny yet inspiring read. This book will cause you to laugh, it will cause you to have more faith because Gods plan for his children is to have Godly leaders. Women should never under estimate the power that God has given to us, because we see how God used these sisters in the Church to bring his chosen leader. Once you open this book you cannot put it down until the end.

I wasn’t satisfied with the appearance of the book. It was supposed to be in new condition, however, the pages are yellowing and the book looks very old.

I loved reading this book. It was funny had credible plots and had characters that were real. I have suggested reading this book and others in the series to others.
