A superior window defroster tab adhesive
**Review: Permatex 21351 Electrically Conductive Rear Window Defogger Tab Adhesive** As an automotive enthusiast with a penchant for DIY repairs, I recently had the opportunity to test out Permatex's 21351 Electrically Conductive Rear Window Defogger Tab Adhesive. Let me tell you, this product exceeded my expectations in every way. First and foremost, the adhesive's conductivity is impressive. It forms a strong and reliable bond between the defogger tab and the rear window, ensuring optimal electrical connectivity. This means that once applied, I can trust that my rear window defogger will function flawlessly, providing clear visibility during inclement weather. Furthermore, I was impressed by the ease of application. The adhesive comes in a convenient tube with a precision applicator tip, allowing for precise and controlled dispensing. This made it easy to apply the adhesive exactly where needed, without any messy drips or spills. One of the standout features of this product is its durability. Once cured, the adhesive forms a strong and flexible bond that can withstand the rigors of everyday driving. Whether facing extreme temperatures, moisture, or vibrations, I have full confidence that the bond will remain intact, providing long-lasting performance. Additionally, I appreciated the versatility of this adhesive. While specifically designed for rear window defogger tab repair, I found that it could also be used for other electrical connections within the vehicle, such as repairing wiring harnesses or securing electrical components. In conclusion, Permatex's 21351 Electrically Conductive Rear Window Defogger Tab Adhesive is a game-changer for automotive enthusiasts and DIYers alike. With its impressive conductivity, ease of application, durability, and versatility, it's a must-have for anyone looking to tackle rear window defogger repairs with confidence. It actually works
It actually works I seen lots of reviews on this people saying it dont work I decided to try it and it works What I end up doing is sanding the contacts of the defroster terminal that came off the window and on the window it self and clean the contacts where it was mounted on the windshield then use the wipe it give you the activator wipe the contacts and the part on the glass wait 1 min while your doing that mix the solvent until it get like a brownish color then put a couple drops of the on the contacts and hold it onto the window for 2 min or so then let it cure 24 to 48 hours then you can use your back defrost again.

It works very good if you follow given instructions
Let me start with saying that regardless of what are some bad review, it works and it worked very nice for me! Obviously you need to take care of the surface by cleaning it. Follow the simple instructions exactly as they say, and you won’t regret this product! Applied activator after having cleaned surface and the lil connector that need to be stick to rear windshield, let it dry a while (5min), apply conductive glue to part and keep it for a 1min. It worked even though in a vertical position and gravity didn’t bother glue and was perfectly stuck! After 24h it should be fine to use, I personally waited more before using the rear windshield heater. Very nice and good product! Will add some photo, and trust me some idiot before soldered that connector and that’s why it came off and I had to clean the part with a solder to clean it properly from tin soldering residue. Anyway it was easy to use as well and functional, it’s already been 2 weeks and still fine. Will post photos.

So far so good!
I followed the instructions and so far it has stuck to the windshield properly. I held it for about 3 minutes, because someone had said they held it on for a minute and it didn’t stick. So I did everything, stuck and it’s about 5 hours in. My problem is that it is December and it’s 20 degrees outside. The instructions recommend 50 to I think 80 or something like that, so I hope it still cures correctly. It’s been in the shop I work at, so it started at a good temp. We’ll see though. But so far, consistency is good, less watery than I thought, stuck right on, everything is good. Fingers crossed. Update: I let it sit for at least 24 hours, reconnected the connector to the tab turned the rear defroster on, and it worked perfectly! No I know exactly what to get if this happens again. Was a little skeptical at first, but it works perfectly. To those who are thinking of doing this in colder weather, it does work. I did start the process in a climate controlled shop, but after probably 5 hours it was out in 20-30 degree weather for the rest of the curing time. Amazing product

Failed within 1 Defrost Cycle. Don't waste your Time and Money.
The Instructions say to clean the Tab and a fresh area of the Window Defroster Grid, I scraped and sanded the tab to a bright metal surface. I lightly sanded a nearby area of the Window Defroster Grid. The Instructions say to knead the packet for 1 Minute to distribute the conductive particles within the adhesive liquid. I mixed it for 2 minutes to get an even looking mixture. The Instructions say to hold the metal tab in place for 1 minute to let the glue setup. I held the tab in place for 5 Minutes. The Instructions says to wait 24 hours before connecting the wiring and powering the Defroster. I waited a week for the repair to fully cure the adhesive. The connection felt solid and showed 0 Ohms resistance. On the next frosty morning; the defroster worked great. I powered it off within 5 minutes and the window was clear. (I didn't want to have the defroster running until timeout if it was not necessary.) That was the last time the Defroster worked. Upon further inspection; the metal tab is still solidly attached to the window; but there is 12+ Ohms resistance. Voltage was OK at the terminals and I noticed a spark as the meter probe brushed between the metal terminal and the Defroster foil on the Window. Power no longer passes between the Defroster Terminal and the Grid. Save your Time and Money from this product and spend it on a proper solder repair.
