Time Travel To Late 18th century Maratha Empire
This is one of the best works on 18th century India and Maratha empire.. which is the last indigenous empire before British tookover. The book is based on diary of James Wales and we can see India and peshwai from the perspective of foreign traveller.. It's literally like a time travel experience.. the beautiful paintings of Wales adds to the enjoyment.. we get to know about economic, social, and political situation of the time in Maratha empire..and most importantly about the Marathi culture as many festivals have been described by Wales in his own words.. In conclusion I can say that the book is worth its price.. Thanks Dr.kulkarni for bringing 18th century Indian history as it's removed from our textbooks and syllabus .. I have read all your books..
