Skeptical but Desperate
Yep I would’ve tried about anything to win the leaf miner battle on my citrus trees. All I can say is so far so good.Last year the leaf miners & I went toe to toe so I sought out this product for the next season. This year I’m ready. I began using this product in April & in August very few present. Then I remembered to change the trap. Duh!In zone 9 I believe Aug & Sept are the worse months for leaf miners. If this is the case I would recommend you give this product a try. Gave it 4 stars till I get through warm weather.

Decent leaf miner traps
I’ve only had these up for a few weeks but they seem to be working. The perforations for the bends were a bit much and the structure ripped, so they are together but not as good as the product description.

This really works
The media could not be loaded. Well first off it seriously the only thing that’s been successful for lessening citrus leaf miners. I’ve tried everything from systemic drenches to foliage spraying very frequently. Although this isn’t a complete fix of leaf miners I found that these traps combines with BT spray every 2 weeks has brought the leaf miner activity down at least 80-90% no joke it really works. I found these after hours of research on leaf miners and although it’s a little pricy it’s worth the money if leaf miners are completely destroying your citrus tree. Directions call for 2 so used 2 but I could imagine using 3 would have an even bigger impact maybe even completely eradicating the leaf miners. It’s simple to use just fold the cardboard up like origami and put the pheromone inside and boom you’re all set. I had to drill bigger holes in mine because I wanted hang them on bigger posts above my tree. I found that getting them as close to the tree without actually being in the tree works best because the leaf miners are going to go where the sent is the greatest and that’s right in the death trap. So take my advice if you’re looking around for something to help your citrus trees from leaf miners and get these traps you won’t regret it. I do wish they where a little cheaper but maybe with competition from other companies we will get more affordable traps but for now they work fine. It’s been two weeks and I’m still catching lots of leaf miners in these traps so I’m going to be buying 2 for every tree I have. I’m so glad I found a suitable remedy for these freaking things because they’re impossible to control.

Concept great, trap itself poor
Using natural pheromones to attract and trap insects is a great idea. The cardboard trap that came with agent, however, fell apart along the perforations when I tried to assemble it resulting in the need to "jury-rig" end pieces. The adhesive wouldn't allow you to separate the perforated tags without tearing. Time will tell if the pheromone actually works

Works great instantly
I put one up at night expecting to have maybe a couple leafminers by morning. When I checked the trap next morning, there was more than I could count! I had no idea the infestation was even that bad. This is a newly planted lime tree. I have been spraying it with neem and BT incecticide but needed more as it wasn't solving the problem. I hated to keep spraying it. I also just hated the price of these but finally caved and got them. Wish they weren't priced so high but they do work! I tried another cheap stick trap but it caught almost nothing. So the "lure" in these make a huge difference!

Awesome product!
There were mixed reviews on this product so I wanted to make sure to add my own. I have 7 varieties of citrus in my newly bought home and almost all had some leaf miner damage. One of my trees had been over grown by two root stock suckers and the grafted citrus was about three feet tall compared to the 15 foot root stalk suckers. After cutting those off, a few months later I noticed that 90% of the leaves were dying due to leaf miners. Desperate I looked online and found these traps. Now about five months later the tree has new growth and no leaf miners! I was worried I would lose the tree to them but instead it is growing beautifully and has fruit set on it. Some of my larger trees still have some minor leaf miner damage, but I think using the traps through the year will be very beneficial and by next year will hopefully see none.

Bycatch
These things work really well but I had to stop using them because of the bycatch, lizards. It's just heartbreaking to see them trapped in there and slowly dying. Wish there was a way to keep them out but I don't see it.

Works AMAZINGLY well!
I don't take the time to write many Amazon reviews, but this product is so exceptional that I had to let others know in case they were wondering if it was worth the price. I just took this trap down yesterday, it has been in an orange tree for a year. It must have thousands of leafminers in it! True, the adhesive is no longer sticky, and I don't know when it stopped being sticky, but it sure did it's job before then. This is the first trap I used and the orange tree had a large crop of delicious oranges in the fall and is now full of new perfect growth. Now that it's spring I replaced it with a new one, surely there will be less this year, but it's worth it!
