Avenger 36 Inch Commando .50 Cal Blowgun (Black)

This blowgun is more than I expected! It shoots over 90 ft, I tested it, if you slightly raise up the barrel. The darts penetrate hard objects with no problem, hard wood, rats, plastic, hard covered books, and whatnot. The plastic darts are fun to shoot friends with because they hurt but don't penetrate. They are also good for scaring off pesky rodents. Over all, the blowgun is VERY good quality and is everything it says. The darts are good and the blowgun is NOT some cheap tube, it's very good and made from aircraft aluminum, very strong, light, and is dependable.

I bought this for my boyfriend for his 30th birthday and he LOVES it. I made sure to get an assortment of ammo as well. This blowgun is SO accurate, it's insane. Tons of fun. It totally delivers. I would highly recommend this blowgun over any of the shorter versions. The strap makes it easy to hang/store and carry. I would buy this gift again in a heartbeat!

The darts are so tiny, that is the spines...compared to a .625 dart spine.If you want to hunt something, I'd go with CS 4 or 5 footer, in .625 cal. If you're buying for a boy or childunder 15, get this one or a .40 caliber or .357 cal; they'll still have tons and tons of fun, without being able to do too muchdamage.

The media could not be loaded. So I like most things that go "bang," "swish," or "whirl," or otherwise make my wife's eyes roll. And I have many of these things. This is one of the coolest.First, the price. You will not find another more authentic caveman-type weapon in the world of e-business for less than $30. If you have several responsible kids, it's affordable enough to buy several of these and go takeover a small village somewhere.Second, the ease of use. It takes approximately 1.5 seconds to assemble a dart. 2 seconds to put the dart in the blowhole. 1 second to aim. 1 second to blow. 4-5 seconds to figure out an excuse to tell your wife about all the holes you left in the wall.Third, the lethality. This blowgun will not kill any normal sized humans or kids. Or deer, duck or mongoose for that matter. But they will splice the heck out of any mouse ignorant enough to come across its path. It is pretty badass.Overall, you're going to love this little toy. Buy it before they jack up the price to $50+, which it's worth.

I really can't think of a negative about this thing. It delivers a very accurate dart to its destination. Sometimes when I'm bored, I sit in my room, hang a canvas from a wall and shoot at the targets that I drew on it. Other times, I'll set up can's and old GI Joes, and shoot at those. This thing provides constant fun. I wish it came with those flat 'stunner' darts instead of the one's with the plastic tip (I don't really get the point of those) but those can be bought separately cheap and I won't dock a star because of it. Cheap, clean fun this thing is.

I purchased this blowgun a few days ago and it showed up two days earley! I'm very pleased with the quickness.The gun is fairly accurate at about 50 feet. Even when I miss a target the blowgun does not send the darts so far away that I loose them, but rather about 6 inches away.Also the gun is powerful enough that I have to either cut the dart out or firmly pull it out.I gladly give this hunting weapon 5 stars and I can't wait to take it into the woods and see what I can take down with this tool.

It came late which sucks if you pay extra for Prime like I do. The "broad head" darts are literally just unsharpened spikes although half an hour with a file fixed that, and the spike darts that come with it seem kind of useless as they don't stick nearly as well as the other darts, even the ones I sharpened myself. But once I had it and made all of the darts usable the blowgun itself seems solid. My first one so I don't know how it compares to others, next time I'm going with a larger caliber from a different manufacturer but if you're maybe a smaller person or younger I could see this being a good starter to see if you enjoy it.

Don't use for hunting. I bought this with the hope of shooting some woodpeckers that keep putting holes in my cabin. This however was not powerful enough to kill them. I go a direct hit on one of them and did not kill it. I followed it into the woods as far as I could but I was never able to get another clear shot. Its a fun toy, for target practice but it will not even kill a small bird. Still its fun to have and play with sometimes. (dont ever shot as something you cant hit. I hit the bird directly in the body and it still did not die. I dont want to see animals go through unnecessary suffering.)
