The Yeti and the Jolly Lama: A Tale of Friendship

A great and simple story of looking outside your initial perceptions and fears to see what might actually be the truth. A hungry yeti and a kind heart = many new friends helping each other. Very nice story. My 5 yr old completely understood the concept.

I absolutely LOVE this book! What a wonderful twist on the Yeti, the abominable snowman! The story speaks to the Yeti - and the wise teacher - in us all! I have purchased this for every child in my life and many adults too! The pictures are also beautiful and I can just hear Jolly Lama Surya Das telling the story! This timeless tale is a great gift to give again and again! I so hope Lama Surya Das writes more children's books! He tells the tale with eloquence, humor and timeless wisdom!

This is a lovely book. As someone who has read nearly all of his work, I love that Lama Surya Das has branched out to children's books. This was purchased as a holiday gift for my grandchildren and I think they will love it.

Simple, beautiful, so very well illustrated and also do very welcome in our household. It's a great size and fun to read with the little one.To have such a cool read by this great man in this capacity is a treasure.Also, if I may, a fantastic way of combining my love for the Buddhaful way and relate the simple beauty in a story any mini human can understand.All love, JT
