Used to remove a threaded bottom bracket from an old Raleigh bike and it worked a charm. It's a single use tool but it's much better than attempting to hammer out the bracket or other alternative mad cap ideas.

I went with park tool as they offer a life time guarantee. Great quality feels like it will last forever. Even if you are only a home mechanic it is worth spending the couple of extra quid on a park tools tool as you know you won't have problems down the line.

This spanner fits a small range of different sized lock nuts and I referenced Park Tool web site to make sure it would fit my bracket lock nut which it did and it worked quite well on the tripled locating end but not so good on the single c-spanner end.

However I had to use a cold chisel to take off the locking ring on a 20 year old bike.
