I got the socks for Army ROTC's FTX, as it was going to be cold and I wanted layers since we were going to be out in deep woods for 3 days straight. They worked very well, stayed dry, and kept my feet warm without crowding in my boots. That was probably the only warm part of me that long weekend. I was allowed to have them with the uniform for this exercise as the colors matched our regular socks and other cadets asked where I got them. They do wear thin on the bottom, but that's because I should have gotten at least two or three pairs. I use them as house socks or in work boots now.

I bought these as a diabetic who has trouble keeping his feet warm in the northern Ohio winters. Even with 'supposedly' insulated boots, my toes stayed cold. I found these liner/socks and decided to give them as try, what did I have to lose?Well, I'm glad I did. I put these on over a pair of merino wool socks, and finally, was able to feel warm and comfortable. Even though I had two pair of 'socks' on, they did not feel thick and bulky like traditional socks do, and my feet weren't damp and sweaty after taking them off. I may have to eventually order more.I am truly impressed and happy to have finally found a product that works!!! If you're in a similar situation, I highly recommend these liner/socks!

Made well, look and seem warm but size XL is too long in the foot part. You should order the Large size. One more important thing is the tube part for the calf is way to narrow. It should be much wider or stretchable. Athletic men or larger calfs will not fit. Hope this helps some people. Cheers!

Product was warm, comfortable and fit into all of my work Tactical boots providing me with warmth that regular socks by themselves couldn’t do.

These were not right for my intended use but 281Z responded immediately and completely took care of it. Extremely fast customer service that left nothing to complain about.Sometimes a product isn't what you're expecting or a quality control issue occurs...it happens. These days I think good customer service can sometimes be almost as important as the product itself and 281Z has some great customer service.I also have 6 pairs of the 281Z Military Cotton Micro Crew Boot Socks - Cushioned Sole - Moisture Wicking - Odor Resistant - Hiking Trekking Outdoor and am very happy with those. For me they are great everyday socks and I will get them again.

This product was purchased for a birthday gift. I figured it would be quite warm with what the other reviews said. However that's not the case. They are soft and somewhat warm but my feet still got cold and uncomfortable. I wouldn't purchase again.

I wear a womens size 8-9 shoe and ordered the Medium size for these sox. They are a little big but I am using them for a second sock layer for heavy boots. They are perfect for that but if I was just using them alone the Small would be a better size. The fabric is very nice and durable. The seams are also smooth which is an important feature for me.

These were exactly what I needed for my boots. These are comfortable and really warm. I consider these a good purchase.

Great warm and fit not bad.

Bought these to line my XtraTuff neoprene high rubber boots. They fit fine, good length and are very comfortable. I was surprised that only after a couple of uses they started to pill in places. Other than that, they are nice and warm.

No complaints been using up to -16 and work great, feet are not chilly at all
