This fireplace has been a joy to have. We live in the South, where many times ambience over heat is desired. We're able to enjoy the warmth and look of the fire, without the fire. People have actually been fooled by the flames and glow of the optics, thinking it was a natural gas fireplace. There is no projection screen video technology involved with this model. It delivers a realistic looking experience in a traditional fireplace setting. The heater is quite effective as well.Something to consider when shopping for an electric fireplace - we went to a couple of fireplace dealerships before purchasing this, to get an idea of what is available. The beautiful contemporary wrap-around fireplaces quickly lose their appeal when you see them from the side - there is nothing to look at! Then you realize you saw the magician's trick - quite disappointing.This style of fireplace doesn't give the opportunity to see it from the sides. HOWEVER...there is a reflective surface on the back of the fireplace that will reflect whatever is right in front of it. We have a light-colored rug, and noticed we could see the rug reflected in the back wall of the fireplace. Sometimes we saw motion (legs and feet) in the reflective back wall as we walked by. We resolved this issue two ways - placed a dark-colored dog bed in front of the hearth, and installed the wire screen. Both items were effective in managing this issue. Thus, the 4 star rating.

The flame is pretty, but the heater is terrible. It also kicks off after a few minutes. I wish I hadn't got it.

Love everything about it with one exception, would like to have seen the brick interior have a little more color to look more realistic. The side brick is solid black, would like to see a little color there. As far as the 3 d effect, logs, etc. looks amazing. Would recommend.

Replaced an old zero clearance fireplace with this one and we love it. Throws out a little heat but we bought it for the looks and it looks really good. My wife loves it because its easy, she didn't like messing with the fireplace when I wasn't there.

The fireplace looks great, it replaced a flooded box after Harvey . Here in Texas there really is no need for a fireplace. Fan when turning in the heater is somewhat loud, no speed controller here, the fan also makes the cover shake and there is nothing to adjust to avoid this. This was the last part built on the house so cannot return it

The most beautiful electric fireplace we've seen!

Purchased this to fit in the space formerly used by a huge big screen tv. The new flat screen tv above the fireplace makes a cozy area! Haven't used the heater yet, but expect it to be just as good! The ambiance is so much fun! Looks more real than any electric I have seen. I did not get the optional glass front because I didn't want the glare. The wire mesh screen looks great! Very nice pulsating glow from embers and logs.
