Oregon Road & Recreation Atlas (Benchmark Recreation Atlases)

Bought this for my husband as his old one was completely worn out. We use it because of its detailed road maps, topography measurements, and recreational information for planning trips to camp, hunt and fish and highway traveling. It’s a handy atlas to keep in the motorhome or the pickup.

As with all maps the print can be a little small but there's a lot of details. I love the way it is divided, breaks down a lot of activity per section. Shows recreational opportunities along with historical and site seeing areas. Love knowing names of lakes, peaks, rivers, National Ares along with state & county information. Worth the price and valuable in planning outings, region by region..

Just replaced our old tattered one. Great detail and fun to just study. Essential to have when in the field.

Of course I am probably remembering through the fog of time, but the old DeLorme backcountry maps had much more detail. Right? Maybe not. I'm giving four stars out of perhaps false nostalgia. "Not fair," you may say. Yes, a curmudgeon move.However, this is a good tool if you travel the boondocks. Last weekend when I ran out of cell coverage, I pulled this atlas out and found my way again. Always carry paper along with the electronics, they say. I agree. I have this on my permanent overlanding packing list.

Benchmarks makes the best roadmaps out there. I did substantial traveling through Oregon this summer and this map really helped me select my destinations, campgrounds, etc. I would highly recommend this to anybody who is looking for a good road trip map.

Large format with lots of on and off road info. Always in the RV when traveling.Analog info in digital world.
