The only French thing Ron Swanson would like.
Great piece for the serious collector who digs the history behind it. Totally functional, one of Douk Douk's 3 motifs I know of (the others are a pattern and a squirrel) This is the standard size, it is long and sharp, a great tool, not a toy. Very sharp and well made, brilliant in it's simplicity.

Experience some of history.
The Douk Douk is one of the classics for knives. It is still in use today and is distributed to the soldiers of the French Foreign Legion.

pretty disappointed
when the knife came, it looked used. it had scratches and blemishes on it. the blade was not sharp at all and the tip looked like it had been chipped. i feel like i got a used product. it definitely did not look brand new. i'm quite disappointed.

decent knife
Good knife. Interesting piece. Blade does not lock. It really should. I like the Mercator much better. Not a bad knife.

It has a lot of character
It's a simple little slip joint knife that uses a folded sheet of steel for a handle. It's an iconic design, like an Opinel, higonagami, etc that has stood the test of time and is definitely a must have if you collect traditional folders like I do. Simple as it is, it's actually nice and snappy in the half and full stop positions, which is a sign of good quality. Since it's so thin and light it makes a good keychain folder too, which is how I'm currently using mine.
