How thick is the support? one thing says it is 1.5 inches?? another says 0.2 ...?? thanks!

It’s closer to the .2 Very thin. I returned. Found a single panel ineffective. Perhaps if you buy multiple it may work. I had only one cushion support of a sectional that was broken.

I have a 6 foot couch, do I need to buy more then one?

Yes. I bought two of them for my two seat couch. They work great. Make sure you put the velcro side against the cushion so they won't slide towards the back of the couch.

It depends on how wide it is, but definitely by 2 one is not long enough to cover the two cushions.
