Faulty design and bad intentions
The oitsme App asks for permissions to access the location, with the excuse that it needs to use Bluetooth to connect with the lock. However, in addition to Bluetooth, it also accesses your GPS location, which is fishy, because I would not want to give the location of my front door to someone who can potentially issue a command to open it.I want to clarify that if you give Bluetooth-only permissions it refuses to work. The GPS location permissions must also be enabled. That's clearly dishonest.There are other ugly things, such as that it intends to do a 64KBytes firmware upgrade and for this it opens communication over the internet, but it as ten minutes, with so little data. It smells really bad.Too bad money spent. I do not recommend using this smart lock for obvious security reasons.

Easy But...
Upon opening the box, I look Right away for any instructions but only found a small card with website and email. I look at the website but I had a hard time understanding it since it is written in a foreign language. If only the card would said “DOWLOAD THE APP FOR INSTRUCTION” then that will save me a lot of time. And also ones you down load make sure to “UPDATE THE FIRMWARE “. I did have an issue downloading, tried to delete the app 3 times just to update the firmware. If you don’t update the firmware you’ll have issue calibrating the lock, it will tell you to calibrate every time. SO ITS REALLY IMPORTANT TO UPDATE YOUR FIRMWARE. The App that you need to get is the “OITSME” app, I was trying to look for Colzer App but couldn’t find it 😉 but after that it’s easy.

Good lock if you use the app
Unlock and Lock from the app work great. Using the physical keys unfortunately becomes really difficult. I feel as if the keys are going to break when unlocking and locking. Unlocking upon coming home feature I have not gotten to work yet.

MUST MODIFY YOUR DOOR
It looks like it would be a good product. Unfortunately it requires me to modify my current cut out in my door. I live in a apartment and cannot do this. Very disappointed, will be returning

Worse lock I’ve bought
Not worth the money. This lock you either have to tell your phone to unlock it or get into the app. Both require your phone. I don’t have my phone in my hand when i get home. I feel like it defeats the purpose. Might as well use a key. Keypad locks are more convenient and easily more accessible!

Unit was used/returned. Did not work.
When I recieved the lock. It was a return/used unit. No instructions. Website was in Chinese. Engineered for Chinese door locks, but adapters to use on US doors. Batteries built in would not take a charge. Lock did not work.

don't waste your time and money
Should have instructed you to download the app first and the installation would have been easier. Door locked from the app but upon inspection found door unlocked. The app showed locked. Wouldn't waste any more money on this.

Last Update Rendered it Useless
The latest update has caused the lock to stop working. Getting a hold of customer support is a hassle within itself. You cannot log into your account on their website nor can you contact customer support in the Oitsme App. Factory resetting the device along with recalibration does not seem to fix the issues I've been experiencing either. I had purchased the lock this summer, but I'm not sure how to go about the warranty on it.The smart lock was great before the latest firmware update. More than likely going to have to look elsewhere for a new smart lock.TLDR: firmware update created numerous connectivity issues/de-sync. Customer service seems non-existent. Will be replacing.
