Honestly, this bedrail is PERFECT. .......PERRRFECT!1.) It is easy to install.2.) It takes up very little space across the bedside, but is still just wide enough (depending on its position) to prevent someone from rolling out of bed; this was an ADDED bonus my father (a proud man who wasn't exactly excited to receive this unexpected "gift") pointed out himself as a "plus". He said he'd fallen out of bed before....something I didn't previously know!3.) Because it has 2 feet that touch the floor (instead of just being slipped between the mattress and boxspring,which could "give way" a little), this also doubles as a solid support for assisting in standing up out of bed (like a cane/walker), AND - when climbing into bed, the 2 feet serve as a solid "hoist" point that allows the user to maximize the use of arm strength in addition to climbing in bed using leg power.It's honestly just enough without being "too much".HIGHLY RECOMMENDPray for my daddy. I bought this because I have some trouble walking and I needed an anchor for when I get out of bed. This is rather low profile and I like that. Sturdy and a good value for the price.

After my first back surgery, I had to have someone help me log roll/turn over and get out of bed and it was excruciatingly painful every time, not to mention traumatic for my caregivers. Since my 2nd back surgery was twice as painful and twice as big, a friend who is a nurse recommended I order this. I ordered it from my hospital room and it was there ready to assemble when I got home. My caregiver had it ready and in place in 5 minutes or less, and it literally changed my life for the better! I was able to use it to help me roll over, and grab it to aid getting myself into a sitting position, or to ease my way back into the bed. Because the long arm slides under the mattress, it can be repositioned closer to or farther from the head of the bed, and it provides good stability. My PT was very impressed with it and said she would begin recommending it for her other spinal patients. My only complaint is that the storage pocket is very flimsy and tore pretty early on. Not really useable for much (except maybe Kleenex).

Ordered this for my 98 year old mother, who needs assistance getting in and out of bed. This thing came perfectly packaged and was very simple to assemble. I tried it and it seemed like it could work perfectly on my own bed. But, my mother’s bed is low, (she needs a low bed) and the leg height of the device could not be adjusted to work for her bed. The shortest height of the legs is 17 in. and she has only 14 inches from the top of her box spring to the floor. I could not make this particular bed assist device work, so I will return it. I disassembled it and have it ready to ship. The disassembly was as simple as the assembly. Although this one did not work for us, I would highly recommend it if the leg height would work for you. It seems to be a great product.

I originally ordered this for a family member who recectly had strokes and multiple surgeries. The product was easy to assemble with the limited instructions given. The wing which fits between the matress is more sturdy than others, but the snap belt is a must for keeping the device in place. The plastic on the belt is easy to break especially when tightening around the bed. I found it more helpful to purchase a ratchet strap to get product tight enough to stay. The two legs with rrubber feet make this more stable than others and help provide stability for sirting up. The feet are adjustable and should fot most beds with normal sized box springs and standard height frame. Definately a good buy for and immediate need, but may not hold up long term given needs or futher decline in strength etc. Does require you to move matresses if adjustment is needed.

Just what we needed. Small enough so making the bed is no problem but sturdy enough to be a gentle help for someone getting out of bed. Perfect.

I was hesitant to buy something like this because quality is an unknown factor but was very pleasantly surprised with this one. Solid with a smooth finish it went together really easy. It is versatile and can be positioned easily on any point along the side. I particularly liked this item because of the legs that went to the floor but in my case I could not adjust the feet up enough to use - the shortest setting was still too long. A bit disappointing but It can be used that way. I added a strap at the bottom of the handle side around the bed frame to stop any side to side movement.I bought this for someone who needs support under their legs when they sleep but then finds it hard to get out of bed during the night,. this gives him sufficient stability and leverage. He is very happy with it.Just note the measurements of your boxspring to the floor.

Got this for me elderly mother after she had surgery on her spine and had a hard time getting out of bed. Unfortunately it didn't fit the bed, so I had to find another solution, but the device fit perfectly into her couch.She LOVES how sturdy the unit is now able to get out of the couch with a lot more ease plus she feels safer. Would recommend this product to anyone with mobility issues, but definitely measure the space where it will go.
