DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
I ordered this flute for my daughter who will be in her first year of band this school year. I ordered it early so I would make sure to have it in plenty of time. The only good thing was the shipping which was quick. The flute mouthpiece will not go into the body, it needs all new pads, it it very, very think metal and was unplayable when it arrived. Her band teacher checked this flute out and said it wasn't worth making playable. I hope it's not too late for me to return.

Plays great - until it breaks - which doesn't take long
You get what you pay for. Bought this for a beginning flute player. Within a month, it needed a repair - and nobody could repair it because there are no repair parts available. Also, the metal will not withstand heat so the repairman could not re-seat a loose pad. Stick to the name brands for flute rather than off-brands so that you can have the flute repaired when needed. Re-seating pads for flutes is very common - even for good flutes well-cared for.

Good starter, but didn't last long enough
This flute was a good starter for my 9 year old. It sounded great and got her into playing at a low price. However, it's only a year and a half old and already broken from just normal use. The cost to repair is almost as much as the flute itself.

important to heed
I am giving it 3 stars because it shipped quickly when I needed it desperately (I have played the flute for 11 years & was asked to do a last minute performance and I loaned my flute to a friend across the country, so I ordered it and it came on time.) BUT it came with a cracked off piece in the flute which I so happened to notice the same day and it did not come with gloves as advertised. I also, on my mistake failed to realized it was coated so the coat was chipping off and it was hard to connect my pieces together. HOWEVER, it does on fact provide a wonderful tune and besides those things I mentioned it is a great flute for the price I suppose.

I am very disappointed in my purchase
I am very disappointed in my purchase. Even though I know I wasn't get a top grade instrument, after reading the description of the flute, I thought a would be able to learn to play on it successfully. However, there are several notes that I am unable to make due to the pads not be sealed. I took it to a local music store, and he was unable to work on it because the instrument isn't silver, therefore it would not withstand the heat of the torch when trying to seal it replace the pads. The owner of the shop said I would not be able to successfully learn to play on the flute.

When repair is an option for a student flute
My daughter loves it and I hate to say it but it's much cheaper than trying to repair a budget flute. I call a music store and they said it would cost $65 per hour and they said it would take at least and hour and take two weeks. Repair just wasn't an option and my daughter loves it.
