Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Accompaniment

I was disappointed enough that there are many songs not covered on this disc, but that would have been acceptable if the songs that were covered were of good quality. The background instrumentals were decent, but several of the songs were chopped a bit, leaving out instrumental dance breaks or even entire verses of music. The biggest downfall, however, was the caliber of the background vocals on the karaoke disc. I myself would never use any of the tracks with vocal backgrounds on this disc professionally because they were actually under the pitch. No way will I sing with off-pitch vocals in the background. This disc might be good if you just want it for fun, since some people might not be bothered by that. At least the instrumentals were ok.

I was very disappointed when I listened to the CD. The instrumental was extremely synthesized, or in other words, it doesn't sound like real instruments. The one I really wanted was "Any Dream Will Do" and I was annoyed that the accompaniment track also has the childrens voices singing the background. So I can't use it with my children's choir and have the children sing that part. The accompaniment tracks of the other songs also have the accompaniment choir voices as well. Poor orchestration plus the inclusion of the other voices on the accompaniment track is not what I was looking for. As is usual with these karaoke CD's the vocals aren't great either but I"m not grading the quality of the vocals. I don't purchase them to listen to. I purchase them to sing with the orchestration.

I was very disappointed. We are performing "Joseph" at church and were planning on using the accompaniment CD; however, the CD is missing over half of the songs--competely useless.

I wanted this to rehearse "Joseph" with children prior to presenting a (primary school) performance. I had suddenly found myself without a pianist and so decided to use this CD - couldn't. It was awful. The children responded really well to the ordinary CD (cheapest one) and sang along to that quite happily, loved it in fact.Although this one does have rather a nice backing track to One More Angel In Heaven. Unfortunately that is the only thing that can be said in it's favour. The choice of songs is limited and it's complicated to use. I was very disappointed.

A great tool for teaching the words and then singing to the backing. We are using this to support our small, adapted performance of Joseph. Highly recommend.
