Strength was important to me, looks were important to my wife. I purchased the curved ends separately (seen on the left rail). It is for my elderly mother in law that lives with us and I wanted to make sure that if she falls, it's not because of a handrail. I love the fact that I was able to secure the 7 ft one (left) and the 4 ft one (right) to each stud. All the necessary hardware came with the rails.I'm about to purchase another small one for the bathroom because they are much sturdier than a safety rail that is only screwed in on each end.

Works with other components of the Promenaid stair railing system to make a nice, solid and attractive handrail. On stud walls, take care to center these accurately on the stud so that all three screws provide good support. I tilted the top two screws in about 10 degrees to be certain I didn't miss or split the stud. A low-profile mini ratchet drive for screw driver bits is handy to tighten the railing support screw. Once you have the first and last support at the correct height for your stairs, I recommend you snap a chalk line for all the lower screw positions for the rest of the brackets along the wall, then drill where they intersect the center of each stud.

Works great just too expensive

My goals for this rail were the following.1) compliment existing round black baluster deck railing. A+2) a forever rail, no wood etc... the aluminum is the answer. A+3) easy installation/(2) 8’ sections in less than 30 min. A+4) fast shipping, yup A+I receive compliments from everyone!

Easy installation. Good sturdy product. Many compliments on its sleek design.

Instructions were a bit lacking and had to refer to YouTube, but we were able to finally get it installed and are happy with the look and function.
