A sealed unit...
This is a fine quality item and designed as a universal replacement, so is a (safety!) sealed unit. I was repairing my daughter's beloved salt lamp whose switch / bulb / lead had been fritzed by water damage. This necessitated dismantling the unit to allow access to the old system - and, of course, the unit is not dismantle-friendly. I got round this by sheer obstinacy and practical experience, and the light now works perfectly.This is NOT a grumble at the manufacturing of the unit, and I guess it would work fine in 95% of salt lamps (just not my daughter's). A good unit at a good price, though.

Saved my Himalayan crystal salt lamp from the bin!
Original cord and/or bulb blew after flickering on and off a few times then went pfffft! I was upset as the lamp was a xmas present but this cord and bulb set saved the day and all works fine now, thank you!

Perfect
After the first bulb went and I bought replacement bulbs, I quickly realised the cord was the problem and with so many to choose from with questionable reviews, it was a few weeks before I picked one, worried this was going to be a waste of money. I liked that it had a dimmer switch, and I can honestly say, having used it for a few months now, works perfectly. So relieved!
