I had a simple 2-gator clip helping hands I received with a soldering kit way back when. It has got me through quite a lot of projects, but recently I needed something more... and this was it. 6 very adjustable arms that can hold electronics and other items in place, along with additional tools such as a magnifying glass and flashlight. Larger than expected and seems very durable so far. The base could be a little heavier, but it's not bad for the price. It's also nice that you can remove and replace arms as needed.

So far it seems great, it's alot bigger than I thought. The bottom stand is really solid steel and heavy, which is great. I also like the protection over the alligator clips. Plus a nice little spot to set a sodering iron in. My last comment, I like there's a hole in the middle of the stand so it can be screwed down if you want. I will report if it breaks. But overall great set up. *UPDATE: the discount code I received for applying to the extra warranty does not work. Pretty disappointed. Lost a star.

This thing is great ! The base could be heavier, but the arms and clips work really well for the light weight things I need them to hold. Move them into position and they stay there, no sag or droop.Works perfectly for my purposes very satisfied with it.

I have only used 3 of the arms. The weighted base has places for small screws etc. Nice

So many hands to hold stuff, although they are a little stiff at first, they are still incredible at making it sooo much easier to solder parts. Only issue I see is some of the gator clips are a little loose, but still a great item

The base is a very well machined aluminum, the arms are plastic and stay where you bend them to, the alligator clips are okay but the sleeve that helps keep them in the arms is awful! It easily gets damaged.The weight is good enough to keep it stable, if it cost like $10-12 it would be a bargain.

I'm using it for simple soldering jobs and it's very helpful. 6 arms replace a lot of other improvised tools to keep stuff in place. It's ideal for smart home and LED project DYI-ers.
