Salaam Basmati Rice 10KG

I always buy this rice but usually from store. this time it was on a great offer so I could not stop myself. The quality, taste, and smell are all really good. It may not be the absolute best rice out there, but for the price, it offers excellent value. The grains are medium-length and cook perfectly every time.

Great quality rice that lasts a family a long time. Most economical way to buy basmati rice. Lasts a while and is non perishable (within reason). Taste is fantastic especially when using a rice cooker.

I was really impressed with this Alaam Premium Basmati Rice. For just £5, you get a huge 5 kg bag — amazing value for the quality. The grains are long, aromatic, and cook up beautifully fluffy without sticking together. I’ve used it for biryani and plain boiled rice, and it comes out great every time. Definitely a budget-friendly option that tastes much better than I expected for the price. Pros: Excellent value for money Long, non-sticky grains Great aroma and texture Cons: Bag isn’t resealable (I just transferred it to a container) Would absolutely buy again!

Great value, cooks fast, but looks a bit old even when fresh I bought the Salaam Premium Basmati Rice (5kg). Overall, the rice has a nice aroma and cooks very quickly – ready in just 10 minutes, which is impressive. The only issue is that the rice doesn't stay looking white and fluffy. Even when freshly cooked, it has a slightly stale appearance – almost like it was made the day before and has been sitting around. It doesn't look as appealing as I'd like. That said, for price and performance, it's excellent. When you compare it to Tilda rice, which costs £12.49 per kilo, this one is an amazing budget-friendly alternative. If you don't mind the slightly dull look, it's a solid buy.

This is an excellent product that tastes great and is excellent value for money. I will be purchasing again.

Honestly, this is some of the best basmati I’ve tried in a while. The grains are really long and they don't stick together at all, which is always my biggest worry. It has that authentic nutty aroma that fills the kitchen while it's cooking. Great for biryani or just a side of pilau. Definitely worth the price for a 5kg bag!

Great Rice. Cooks Well. Excellent value. I'm sold! I tend to keep 30+ kilos in my store cupboard as rice is a critical staple to always have in. As my video, this is how I cook rice. *Put rice in a BIG SAUCEPAN. (5-7 LITRES ish) *Rinse rice in cold water. Fill to top, drain by pouring most out. Repeat a few times. (if you're into water conservation, skip rinsing. Zen Masters, rinse 10 times. ) *fill saucepan approximately 2 inches from top with COLD water *Add X2 teaspoon salt *Lid on, bring rice to a rapid boil, catch the boiling point, don't let it over boil. 😉 *AS soon as rapid boil arrives, stir once, TURN HEAT OFF. Put lid back on, time x4 minutes *Drain rice immediately in colander. Put lid on colander. The steam from drained rice finishes the rice & helps separate grains. I let it rest after draining for 15 to 20 minutes. So it's an easy, relaxing way to do rice. ✔️ Make it in advance if you want, if big cooking event for family etc. Reheats in microwave lovely. You can see in my video we have perfectly acceptable grain separation. 👍🏻 But stick to the method & timings. ✔️ ( pic = Chile con carne & rice. When my Step-daughter calls around, I send her off typically with x8 tubs of Chile for freezer. She returns tubs for chef to refil! This will be her rice now! That's why I cook lots of rice. ) 😀 I'll freeze cooked leftovers in portions as it stir fries from frozen wonderfully. Egg fried rice in less than X3 minutes. Add few slice mushrooms & king prawns, (or left over cooked meats) squirt of hot sauce & stir fry rice meals come fast, cheap & nutrious! 🙏 Happy cooking. Thank you Seller & Amazon. Excellent service.
