Acer Chromebook CB5-311-T677 - 13.3" Full HD Display, NVIDIA Tegra K1 2.1GHz, 4GB RAM, 32GB SSD - White (Renewed)

Chromebooks are at the developmental stage that Windoze was in around 1990 but they do pretty well for most things. Their file system is primitive and unsophisticated so I keep an old Windoze machine to handle backups and formatting. It crashes regularly, can't play most videos properly but weirdly handles Netflix perfectly. An extremely strange and unique combination of features that are good mostly for web browsing, which is what I bought it for.

Great looking and runs very well! Battery seems to hold a charge for long periods of time! The only problem i have is you cant download some software because the ios is outdated and no way to update it! No playstore games or apps outside the built in app store (so its limited), or roblox allowed, but it does let you run netflix and youtube! Would highly recommend for school use! Not so much for gaming!

The item came undamaged, but it was dirty when I got it out of the box. After wiping it down, there are a few spots I can't get to. the cracks around the trackpad, in certain plug ports, etc.After the first startup, and getting my Google account setup, I noticed a small glitch. The whole computer's language is English, but a few items on certain computer menu pages, including the "Launch" button in the lefthand corner, would display in Arabic. Took a good 30 minutes to figure out how to fix that.It runs a little slow, but that could be the RAM or memory.I also noticed quickly that a fully charged battery, with regular usage (web surfing), only lasts 2 hours.To confirm, I ran a test on Crosh, and it said the battery health was at 50%, and uses about 4% every 5 minutes. (yep, dies at 2 hours.)I'll honestly be returning it. This doesn't seem "renewed", it just seems like someone barely cleaned it up, did a factory reset, and let it go.If they had just replaced the battery and it did hold a nice charge, I might just have kept it. :/

I ordered 2 of these for my daughters to use for school. One of them had a working headphone jack and one didn't. I realized they're "renewed" but expected them to be fully functional. I was going to return it but the same model for the same price is no longer available and we need it for daily use. I'm not sure what to do now. With 2 girls I didn't want to have 2 different sizes/models for them to use or they would think it would be unfair. I feel like it's unfair that we received something that should have been like new but was damaged.

I just received this laptop for my daughter to do her schooling during the school closures, and it works GREAT! such a great product for the money! It does everything we need it to do without all the extras attached. Super light weight and convenient to take on the go! Everything works as it should! For being refurbished it looks almost brand new. One little scuff mark on the corner that you really gotta look for to even see! Very pleased with this !

Was NOTHING like the written description. The charger port was loose right out of the box. So much so, that I actually had to hold the charger cable in to even get it set up initially. The graphics however were pretty amazing. I was unable to download anything though. Everything I did had to be online, games and everything. I couldn't download even one simple app. This version of Chromebook is pretty much obsolete. Yet maybe it could be a good word processer or something for someone, although for me and my kids, no apps meant it was just a brick. Especially without being able to charge. I even bought new charging cables from Amazon, no luck, still busted. The keyboard also was very sticky, and other keys popped off without even being pressed (escape key was one, control another). All in all, it didn't come across as being usable for kids who want to play apps, unfortunately. Highly dissatisfied, there were more problems (mechanically) than there should have been with a refurbished product. If I could give 0 ⭐'s I would. Since I can't, 1⭐.

I bought two computers, one is wonderful, the other was extremely dirty, the rubber pieces are missing so when someone closes it really hard the screen will crack. The previous owner obviously let a child play with it and color all over it. Seller didn't even bother to clean the item during the pandemic going on. I understand this is a refurbished item however it shouldn't be dirty. Im upset and want anothe computer sent to me!!

I WOULD NOT recommend this item. After reading reviews, I decided to try my luck and purchase anyways. Big mistake. The operating system is outdated and cannot be updated because the product is so old. After doing some research, the original release date was 2014 and google will only push updates to the Chrome OS system for 6.5 years after release. Strike 1. Then when I plugged in the charger, which was not the original charger, it would hold a charge while plugged in but wouldn't actually charge the battery. No matter how long I kept in plugged in, as soon as I removed the charging cable the chromebook would die. If you moved and the connection was interrupted, it would die. Very disappointed in this product and have already sent item back. Now waiting to see if I have any problems with the refund/return as some other reviews have stated.

It came scratched and you had to jam down onto the keys to get them to work, everything felt wrong about it and I refunded it instantly and went to Staples and bought a new one
