Herb Scissors 5 Blade Multipurpose Kitchen Shear w/ Cleaning Comb Lemon-Cheese Zester/Grater Combo

Just arrived today. Very happy with the quality of both the shears and the grater. Another review on here (video review) shows the person using the cleaning brush on the grater. It was intended for the shears! Worked perfectly after I chopped basil which was fresh and still moist from washing and some pieces stuck to the shears. Next time I'll wait after rinsing the basil.

Love both of these items! The herb scissors are great for the basil, cilantro, mint, and parsley from my garden. So much easier than chopping! And the cleaning tool makes clean up a breeze! The grater is quite sharp and comes with it's own protective sleeve. It is a bit longer than I expected it to be, but I admit I didn't look closely at the length in the description when I chose it.

This is a very nice combo set! The herb shears are heavy and sturdy and you can tell that they are very durable. The zester is very thick and high quality as well. I love the fact that they are stainless steel and I don't have to worry about them rusting or weakening over time. Both tools are dishwasher safe for easy cleaning.The herb shears have 5 blades and snip through fresh herbs easily. The hinge is well made and allow the blades to cut smoothly. You can feel the durability when you hold them in your hand. The handle is neon green but not so bright for the being neon and doesn't look too bad against my otherwise black handled utensils. I like it because when I'm reaching for my regular kitchen shears I won't be picking these up by mistake.The zester features an easy grip handle that is rubberized so you can keep a firm hold even with wet hands and hold the zester firmly. The stainless steel is well connected to the handle and should withstand quite a bit of pressure without fear of breaking or bending. This allows for beautiful garnishes and shavings and really adds to the presentation of your dish. There it's a plastic guard that snaps over the grate to protect your fingers and help keep the blades sharp. They have also included a small plastic brush for cleaning any leaves that get stuck from the blades of the shears and work well for detailed cleaning into the little holes in the grate.The professional packaging makes this a great housewarming present or an appropriate gift for almost any occasion. I love to cook and I love cooking with organic fresh ingredients. Since there is always a narrow window of what is in season at the farmer's market, I often buy my ingredients in bulk and prepare them for freezing or in the case of my herbs, drying for later use. This herb scissors was wonderful for this year's crop of basil. I was able to buy the basil in bulk, finely chop it using the herb scissors and then dry it over night for storage in my pantry. The blades clean up super easy using the cleaning tool that comes with the scissors, so nothing gets wasted. The zester was amazingly sharp and cut through the tough orange rind pretty easily. I love zesting my rinds before peeling my citrus fruits and freezing it for later use when I bake. It's a great way to use even more of the produce that would normally go to waste and give extra flavor and flair to my dishes. I think every at home chef would love these in their kitchen! I'm thinking these kitchen tools would make perfect shower gifts for any new bride, or graduation gifts for someone graduating from culinary school.
