Without a doubt get this book for any kid you know or even an adult. Classic children’s book super great. Currently made into a film which of course will have 2023 sensibilities and will not be like the book..

We saw the preview for the upcoming movie and my 5 year old son fell in love. He was excited to find out the movie was actually based on a book. Bought it today, read it with him twice already. Only disappointment is that the ebook file cannot be opened on a Kindle Paperwhite.

I received an original paperback copy of this book! The cover of the book does not match the cover listed on Amazon.. it's the front page inside the book listed as an Amazon picture. Very happy with condition of it! Shipping was fast & it was well packaged!

Highly recommend this series for young the development of young readers imaginations. Great for family reading and keeping you g people engaged for the story.

My six year old grandson, Reed loves this book. Suddenly he knows how to read and he goes through this book several times when I’m visiting. It’s a delightful story, mind you, I’m not complaining, but there’s a limit that even doting Grandmas reach. And I reached it weeks ago.In Grandma fueled competition, some of my friends and I recite our grandkids favorites to each other. I have heard The House on 88th Street so many times that I believe it’s indelibly imprinted in my old and failing (joke) memory.I’m looking forward to finding another book that Reed will love equally. With two fully memorized books, I’ll be a sure winner at the Grandmas Memorized Book Olympics!

I loved the Lyle books as a kid, and wanted my 5 year old to have a copy. This doesn't always work out - she recently told me "I don't need to like everything you liked as a kid". Break my heart! BUT!She. Loves. Lyle.She requests this and Loveable Lyle all the time. (My heart will be ok!!)

I bought this as a trip down memory lane, enjoying my own recollections of Lyle's escapades. My daughter, however, loves it more than I did -- asking me to dwell on all of the pages where Lyle appears. A great book for kids that makes adults smile, too.
