OM648 major surgery made easy
This kit basically turns the labor intensive job of drilling out the sheared bolt into pretty much a paint by numbers... It's seriously as easy as measure meticulously and follow the kit directions... This kit literally put my E320 CDI back into working order!! I'm super grateful right now! I would highly recommend this kit to anyone with a OM648 engine that has a sheared injector clamp bolt... WOW

Really nice kit
Kit worked really well. not sure how you could break these dill bits or parts with responsible use unless maybe you were an engineer and never actually had your hands on any nuts and bolts equipment. I took my time and used cutting fluid and kept the hole sucked out and clean. Drill bit cool. No problems.

Amazing Tool
Precise tool made for fixing a headache of a problem. Takes approximately an Hour from start to finish for a novice mechanic. An absolute must have if you break the injector bolt.

Not suitable for use...
I am not a normal amateur. I have been in engineering all my life, I am 56. The kit seems to be well thought out for the specific problem however it has one serious flaw, the materials used.Received the kit today and re-read the instructions several times before starting, taking each step slowly. Insert the drill guide, check. Suggestion, could do with some teeth to clear left over debris. Drill out to the calculated depth using 6mm drill, check. Slowly drill out using the 7/8mm step drill. Stop. The step drill has snapped off in the head. Slow speed, being gentle, there was no way this should have failed. Now instead of a 6mm bolt stuck in my head, I have a 7mm HSS drill stuck down there.It appears that the step drill was always going to fail, unlike the 6mm drill, the step drill looks fragile.Simple advice people, do yourself a favour and get an engineering company with proven tools to do the job, like I am now going to have to do with maybe even a head off situation...be warned.

Does the trick
Yes, it’s bleddy expensive, but as long as you are half handy with spanners, it’s almost idiot proof. Follow the instructions to the letter, make sure you measure, measure and measure a dozen more times when drilling and tapping the bolt hole. Go easy and slow. And get yourself a proper tap wrench, Laser 6000 or similar, access will be a issue with a long wrench, or a mini wrench. Took a couple of goes to get the insert to stay in head, keep calm and keep trying gently!

Well worth the extra over a helicoil kit
As this is designed for the actual job it makes everything so simple. Forget helicoil kits just use this for a Mercedes CDI engine, it took me 20 minutes to drill and tap the hole, injector in tightened up and job completed.
