Ethiopian Shouro Alicha

I became addicted to Ethiopian food a few years ago, then moved to an area where the nearest restaurant is about 8 hours away. I'm always on the lookout for the ingredients and spicing for my favorite dishes, and Shouro (spiced pea powder) is one of them.Another note is that I received 1 pound bags, an amount not indicated anywhere in the description at the time I ordered.This is a great powder, but had two issues:1) There are no instructions included. Before purchasing, I contacted the seller, and they sent along the recipe they teach in their cooking school. The approach is slightly different than other powders I've had before, so I was glad to have gotten them. Their recommended recipe DOES use Berbere powder (a common Ethiopian cooking spice mixture). The result was very good...not quite up to what I've had in restaurants, but probably much healthier!2) These bags are the resealable type, with a ziploc-like closure heated in place. Unfortunately, one of the bags I ordered, the ziploc had pulled away from the bag, resulting in half of the powder being loose in the box and essentially lost (it also created a nice, fine cloud of spicy powder upon opening). Unfortunately, the seller did not respond to any requests for help, and Amazon's A-to-z guarantee had to be used.Still, this is the best shouro powder I've found online, and well worth ordering.

it was so bad,sorry to say this. I never see shouro with bad taste. first of all it is not fresh. it seems it has been sitting in the store so long and change the freshness.
