Celtic God - Cernunnos Standing Sculpture - Ships Immediately! (Bronze)

Wonderful statuette! It looked even better than the picture let on. I got this as a graduation gift for my boyfriend and he actually broke down crying, he loved it so much. :) It's lightweight but doesn't feel fragile, even at the horns. The colors are consistent with no bare or light spots or streaks. The statute itself really gives the impression that He will start walking around at any moment!

This was a piece I've looked at for a while, hesitating. I finally ordered and I'm glad I did. It is stunning, slightly larger than I thought. This is a substantial piece, and will be beautiful on my altar.

I bought him used, and I do not regret this purchase. He is my prize, and I love him to bits. The detailing is gorgeous, he is a good height at nearly one foot tall, and the packaging was lovely and well-taken care of. I don't know who used to have this fellow, but they took wonderful care of him. He was meant for me, and I am glad they knew that in their own way.

You can find a lot of different types of sculpture of the god known by his Latinized Gaulish name, Cernunnos. Some are exactly faithful to the version on the Gundestrup Cauldron, where an antlered man in furry shirt and britches sits on the ground brandishing a torc and holding up a ram-horned snake; some are similar to that version, from ancient sources; and more modern ones vary widely from more human in appearance to more animalistic. This guy runs so far to the animalistic side of the spectrum that I have taken to fondly calling him "Deer Face." The sculpture has just enough detail, including the fur on the back of his cape (as Cernunnos is both hunter and hunted), to give a vivid representation of this entity who is often represented as "Celtic" but may in fact predate Celtic cultures. I was very impressed with this product in general, and the fact that Amazon managed to ship it to me with all antlers, horns, ears, and other sticky-outy bits perfectly intact! In the hopefully not distant future, I intend to buy the same sculptor's bust of this deity, in which the second set of antlers (yes, the sculptor does cram rather a lot onto one head) are not just buds but larger spikes. I was impressed in every way and have been nothing but pleased with this purchase.

Handsome.A grand display of our God in bronze. He has remained standing through earthquakes but his sturdy and hefty build leads me to believe a fall would not hurt the statue. I will never take that risk however because the form of this figure is perfect. The only other way I might prefer this sculpture is in every town's central square at 8-feet tall.

I LOVE IT!!! It is detailed and looks AWSOME. It is unique and I do recommend it. It arrived on time. My opinion you will not be disappointed.However, I DO wish they made other Celtic Gods and Goddess this size.

I love this statue! Very detailed, and has the look of authentic bronze. Even the subtle highlights of color like green, or a red tint are a nice touch.

The statue is perfect! I cannot stop staring at it! Thanks for introducing me to this sculpture. I haven't been this happy with a purchase in a long time. I'm utterly mesmerized!
