We normally get this at Walmart, but they were out and my husband wanted it now, so we ordered four bottles. Great for steaks and hamburgers.

Great for Waterfowl marinade
I have replaced my other homemade marinades with this Hickory Smoke as the base. I add a some Worcestershire, minced garlic and freeze dried ginger and marinade my sliced (3/16 thick) waterfowl for 36-48 hrs. Rinse briefly and dry off. Then sprinkle with my homemade Habanero dry rub(habanero, parsley, ginger, basil, oregano, sumac, and garlic pwd all ground up fine. Then onto the pellet smoker at high smoke (using Camp Chef Competition Blend pellets) at 160 degrees for 3 hrs then increase the temp to 200 for 1-2 hrs until the jerky is still barely 'bendable' but cooked dry. Most folks cannot tell it is waterfowl. I hate when waterfowl season comes to a close and all my birds are jerked and eaten!! I usually harvest 150 plus ducks, a dozen or so geese, a couple turkeys, some years a swan or Sandhill crane. All are delicious jerky if you like the heat and Hickory flavor

Allegro Hickory Smoke Flavor
Purchased first when I was looking for a product to use in place of Meat Magic, a Watkins product that had been discontinued. I used it in many meat dishes. This product has a somewhat different flavor but has been a good subsitute. It has many uses other than just a marinade. Add it to meat loaf, when cooking a roast, or in stirfry. Adds a mild smoke flavor.

A most excellet Marinade, but for me the regular is better
I have used this marinade but it is no longer in any store I can find. Ordered on line and it is more expensive but not terrible. Glad I tried it but think the original is better for me.
