does not reveal pet urine stains. I bought this hoping to see some color change when I needed to clean my carpets, but no, i ended cleaning the entire area that i KNOW had urine. id does cause other fluorescent materials to glow though.

It's okay....it shows a lot of different stains including urine with some regularity. It is definitely NOT the awesome, divine, super product that it is described to be.

Not that bright really, but I don't have much to compare too. Just make sure you use it in the dark.

So yeah I ordered this light to see urine stains on the floor from our new puppy. Caught the puppy peeing quickly took her outside and returned to the spot of the crime and turned off all the lights and quickly used my new handy "black light"... Huge let down. Basically the only thing this flashlight shows on "my" carpet is larger pieces of white lint. No urine, no liquids, no stains of any sort. So I felt quite a bit letdown because I had hopes to find trouble areas before I steam cleaned the carpet. All and all I have a new blue'ish hue colored flashlight, but as far has finding stains don't waste money on this product....

Works well in highlighting urine stains that cannot be seen in regular light. Use at night with all lights off (or on very low). The urine spots with glow yellow.

I've seen brighter

It works well enough. It wasn't as exceptionally revealling as some of the marketing had me believe. The type of carpet might have been a factor. I recommend it.
